Why do mosquitoes get worse in autumn?

There are many autumn rains, and there will be some water after the rain. These places are good places for mosquitoes to lay eggs and are more suitable for mosquitoes to hatch their next generation. At this time, in order to meet the needs of their own survival and reproduction, mosquitoes will seize every opportunity to bite people, which will make people feel that mosquitoes are more powerful in late summer and early autumn.

Mosquitoes belong to Diptera and Mosquitoidae, also known as "mosquitoes", and are the most important medical insect groups. Mosquitoes are widely distributed and varied. So far, there are 35 genera and more than 3,600 species and subspecies of mosquitoes in the world. More than 370 species have been found in China, of which more than half are Anopheles, Culex and Aedes.

Breeding habits, the place where adult mosquitoes lay eggs is the breeding place of larvae, so it is of great significance to distinguish the breeding places of mosquitoes in investigation and control. All kinds of mosquitoes have certain choices for breeding environment, which can be divided into five types:

(1) Pond types: Ponds mainly include paddy fields, swamps, reed ponds, various ponds, grass ponds, artificial lakes and other large or large water storage places, which are the main breeding grounds for Anopheles sinensis and Culex tritaeniorhynchus.

(2) Slow-flow type: Slow-flow type mainly includes clean flow, irrigation ditch, river bed, water step, seepage pit bank, etc. It is the main breeding ground of Anopheles minimus.

(3) Jungle type: Jungle type mainly includes small clean water bodies such as mountain streams, shady mountain stream beds, caves and spring pools under the shade of jungle, and it is the main breeding ground of Anopheles dirus.

(4) Sewage type: Sewage types mainly include stagnant water, sewers, sewage pits, manholes, shallow ponds, clear water cesspools, cesspits, sewage pools, etc., which are the main breeding grounds for Culex pipiens pallens and Culex pipiens fatigued.

(5) Containers: including artificial containers (such as cylinders, jars, jars, barrels, pots, bowls, bottles, boxes, waste tires, etc.). ) and plant containers (such as tree holes, bamboo tubes, leaf axils, coconut shells and other places where water can accumulate) are the main breeding grounds for Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus.
