Why do most of the famous poets and lyricists in ancient times have no descendants of their own?

Li Bai had two sons, the eldest was Li Boqin and the second was Li Pingyang. The second son has no issue, and the eldest son Li Boqin has two daughters, both of whom are married. Li Bai has fallen into the third generation. Looking back at the Feng Shui of Li Bai's hometown, there are mountains but no water, high in the east and low in the west.
