1. Topographic characteristics

The Poyang Lake Migratory Bird Nature Reserve in Wucheng Town, Yongxiu County has 126 species of wintering migratory birds, including 840 nationally protected white cranes and more than 3,000 swans, ranking first in the world and hailed by foreign experts as China's "Second Great Wall." The Taohongling Sika Deer Nature Reserve in Pengze County is the habitat of the rare wild animal sika deer, with more than 150 sika deer. There are 109 species of fish in Jiujiang. The rare fish include Chinese sturgeon, anchovy, whitebait, Pengze crucian carp, goby, etc. Chinese mitten crab is also one of the specialties.
