Calligraphy criticism should be rational
There are many comments about calligraphy now, but some of them are very wonderful. However, it must be said that some comments on calligraphy really lack some theories.
Professor Tian is good at writing and cursive script, and his teaching method of one topic a day and one word a day is also unique. However, his comments on people are mixed with a lot of personal prejudice, which is not objective enough and inevitably makes people uncomfortable. When evaluating Mr. Qi Gong's "Daily Topics and Daily Words", because he didn't hang his wrist when writing, he critically thought that Mr. Qi Gong's ability to hang his wrist was not enough. If he saw the video of Mr. Qi Gong hanging his wrist, I wonder if he would still say that? Because the exhibition sign that Mr. Qi Gong gave him was small print and needed to be enlarged, he took it for granted that Mr. Qi Gong might not have time to write big characters. If he saw the goose characters that Mr. Qi Gong tried to write in Rong Baozhai, I wonder how big the Chinese characters were. When evaluating Mr. Qi Gong's calligraphy level, his evaluation is that the vertical evaluation of Mr. Qi Gong's calligraphy level is only equivalent to the level in the middle of the Republic of China, which makes people confused. What was the level in the middle of the Republic of China? Will future calligraphers not reach the previous level?
Mr. Tian's handwriting is really good, and he really has kung fu. However, from the daily topics and daily words, we can see that his handwriting is not strong enough. I don't know if this feeling is correct, because I haven't written the role of Ou Kai. At that time, I thought, maybe Ou Kai should write like this. Once I saw Mr Ouyang Zhongshi teaching Ou Kai Jiucheng Palace on the Internet, and saw his demonstration, I knew that my previous feeling might be right. This does not mean that Mr. Wang is right, Mr. Ouyang is right, nor does it mean that Mr. Tian is wrong, just talk about his own views. When Mr Ouyang Zhongshi was teaching Ou Kai Jiucheng Palace, it might be the need of demonstration. The pen and writing posture he chose are not suitable for writing regular script. The model words he wrote were not as accurate as those written by Mr. Tian, but he made it clear how to write well. Zhao Mengfu has a passage about the use of pen and structure in the Postscript of Lanting Thirteen. Calligraphy is based on the use of pens, but it also requires labor. It is not easy to cover words with a pen through the ages. There is nothing wrong with this passage in brushwork and structure, which shows that brushwork is the foundation and has never changed from its original religion; Heart knot is character, and everything is ever-changing for this reason. Mr. Qi Gong disagreed. He said: Song Zhao Xueyun's calligraphy is based on writing with a pen, but it also requires labor, so there is no stealing. Try to cut a word from the French post, such as eight characters, herringbone, two characters, three characters and so on. Cut it again and throw it on the case to see if it is better to restore it to words. Cover the post with a tissue and draw the middle line of a word with a pencil, which can still keep the word potential. Isn't it obvious? . After reading this passage, I not only didn't see it clearly, but also felt like a monk.
