So it is also called "West Putuo". Every year on March 3rd, an ancient meeting is held. Eight families of Fengxiang, An and Xianyang, as well as literati and men from Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai, Shanxi and Henan provinces, as well as Hua Yue, Wutai, Emei and Wudang all come to worship, and visitors are in an endless stream. It is the Dojo of Guanyin Bodhisattva. Legend has it that one morning in Xiputuo Mountain a long time ago, a giant suddenly fell from the sky. When the giant came to the top of the mountain, the sky was filled with dark clouds. The sky exudes colorful auspicious light. The giant disappeared in a blink of an eye, leaving a pair of huge footprints on Xiputuo Mountain, one in the east and the other in the west, which is very strange. Locals call it "no Buddha footprint in the South". In the overall urban planning of Baoji City, Xiputuo Mountain is planned as Baoji Gorge Scenic Area. Jintai District Committee and District Government are very concerned about the West Putuo development project. Shi Xia Township Government also introduced Xiputuo in the propaganda of "Entering Shi Xia", and will also return farmland to forests in Liuchuan River Basin, build Xiputuo Zen Forest Agricultural Sightseeing Park, develop ecological planting of greenhouses and farmhouses, and form a one-stop tour, tourism and sales.
