Where was the first phoenix and pterosaur unearthed in China?
In Wengniute Banner, Chifeng, a giant monument with a height of 10 meter stands at Gachakou, Sumusai, Guiwendu, with the words "the first Yilong in China" engraved on it. Zhang Fengxiang, the discoverer of "China Yilong", lived in this Gacha.
One afternoon in September, 197 1, 18-year-old Zhang Fengxiang and seven farmers were appointed by the production team to level the tree pit on Xiaobei Mountain in the north of the village. During the break, I turned the earth with a shovel and suddenly found a slate under the turned stone. I found a crescent-shaped thing in the pit of the slate, which was covered with thick black soil rust. At that time, I thought it was broken iron and didn't attract people's attention.
On the way home from work, Zhang Fengxiang showed this thing to seven farmers. A farmer named Yang Decheng tried to knock off the soil rust with a shovel, but he couldn't. Cheng said, "What's the use of such a broken iron?" Then throw it away. Zhang Fengxiang didn't pick it up, and continued to walk home. When he arrived home, Zhang Fengxiang suddenly thought, "That piece of iron weighs 1 kg. You can sell it for 40 cents and buy some candy!" Thinking of this, he went back and picked up that thing.
After returning home, Zhang Fengxiang threw it in the corner of the room. A few days later, Zhang Fengxiang's 4-year-old brother, Zhang Fengliang, found this thing and thought it was very funny. He tied a rope to the small round hole above it and dragged it around. The soil rust stuck on it is gradually worn away. After careful observation, Zhang Fengxiang's father Zhang Jingui thought it might be jade. Later, Zhang Jingui first sent this thing to the production team, but people didn't want it, and then went to the Wengniute Banner Cultural Center. According to years of experience, the person in charge of the flag cultural center decided that this thing should have certain value, so he stayed. Seeing that Zhang Jingui was not easy, the head of the Wengniute Banner Cultural Center took out 30 yuan money from his salary and gave it to him.
1985, Mr. Su, a great archaeologist in China, identified this jade and thought it was the Jasper Dragon in Hongshan Culture period.
In the early 1980s, it was concluded that it was a jade carving dragon of Hongshan Culture period that had been sleeping for more than 5,000 years, and it was an unparalleled national treasure.
Jade carving dragon is 26 cm high, smooth and hooked, with a long closed mouth, nose protruding forward, upturned edge, flat end face, two nostrils side by side, long hair on the neck and curled tail tip, which looks like the word "dragon" in Oracle Bone Inscriptions. It gives people a sense of mystery and is known as "the first righteous dragon in China". Its excavation pushed the ancient civilization of China forward 1000 years.
Today, the Hongshan Jasper Dragon placed in Chifeng Museum is a replica, and the original has been transferred by the National Museum (formerly the Museum of Chinese History).
China first phoenix
He is a tiger, but he is predestined friends with the phoenix, and he is the "first phoenix in China".
Talking about the process of finding the first phoenix, Zhang Jun said it was purely accidental. It was the autumn of 2002. As usual, he got up early, and his wife prepared dry food and water, so he drove to the country. Before leaving, he thought about it and went to Jiefangyingzi (township), where there are cultural sites and many things in the hands of fellow villagers. When he arrived, the family asked him, "Do you want a bird bowl?" ……
Where did Zhang Jun think he got a national treasure? This seemingly ordinary "bird bowl" made of clay is actually an artifact of Zhaobaogou culture about 6,800 years ago, much earlier than the "China pterosaur" unearthed in Wengniute Banner, and cultural relics experts named it "Feng Tao Cup". The shape of the phoenix on the Feng Tao Cup is very similar to the traditional phoenix in China, which fully shows the original shape of the phoenix and is quite complete. This is the first time found in prehistoric cultural relics, and it is the "first phoenix in China". Dragon and Phoenix are totem symbols of ancient people in China. In the past, people thought that Phoenix was the totem of the tribal alliance in southern Yan Di. Now, the appearance of Phoenix in Beilong's hometown has aroused people's new thinking about the relationship between northern culture and Chinese civilization, which has high research value. It is accidental, but it is inevitable that Zhang Jun has a history of collecting cultural relics for more than ten years. This time, he donated 2894 pieces (groups) of cultural relics to the government, including "the first phoenix in China". In order to collect money, he spent all his savings and paid off the loan. He loves cultural relics as much as his own children. As long as he thinks something is valuable, he always buys it at the expense of work and rarely bargains. Therefore, he made friends with a group of farmers who were willing to tell him the "goods" they got first. In this way, Zhang Jun has more and more information and more sources of "goods", and he has become a veritable cultural relic collector.
