That is to say, you should face the gate, but if you can't meet this requirement due to environmental restrictions, you should also turn him in the direction of the gate and avoid rushing to the door, that is, you will see the shrine or altar as soon as you enter the house, and you should keep a certain distance from the door.

2. It should be in a quiet place, and the place should be quiet and tidy. There should be no stereos, televisions and other things near the shrines or shrines.

3. The shrine or altar should be supported, and the back should not be empty. The toilet and kitchen should not be next door to the wall.

4. If conditions permit, the shrine or altar should not be too low and the height should be moderate.

5. The number of offerings should be single, but not double. For example, for bodhisattvas and other gods, bodhisattvas should be above the gods, because the level of gods should be lower than that of bodhisattvas, and buddhas and bodhisattvas are supreme.

6. Generally, the orientation of a Buddhist shrine or altar should not be placed in the home, which is due south and facing west [other orientations are acceptable, * depending on the geomantic layout of the home.
