The origin of Xianguding is introduced in detail.

Xianguding is located in the northwest of Wangdao Village, Huancui District, Weihai City, with an altitude of 375 meters. It is a national 2A-level tourist attraction integrating natural scenery and myths and legends. Xianguding is the main peak of the towering peak, and there are many scenic spots in the north, such as Giant Buddha Peak, Tieguailing, Wuyin Cliff, Shimen Peak and Tashan Mountain. In the east, it is expected to see the ruins of Bashan, Jindingding, Maitreya Peak, Dadupo and Xianqing Temple. In the south, there are the rugged Dengjiazhai, the sacred donkey rack, the Niuxian Mountain, the Buge Cliff and the Stone Boat Valley. Xiaoxitian lies on the western horizon with steep cliffs, which is called "the land of three clean places" by Buddhism. Weifeng Mountain is called "Xianguding" because there is Xiangudian Temple on the top of the ancient mountain. In the past, there were two stone tablets in front of the ancient temple. One was erected in Jingdezhen for four years (1007), and the inscription was engraved with Han and Liao fonts, which was written by Zhang Qian. First, the Qing Emperor Kangxi rebuilt the Xiangu Temple Monument in three years. After vicissitudes of life, the ancient temple no longer exists, and the stone tablets of nearly a thousand years are mottled and fragmented. By 1992, the Xiangu Temple was rebuilt by the people, with more scenic spots such as Monument Square, Stone Pagoda, Juxian Pavilion, Wanghai Pavilion and Lv Zudong, and inscriptions engraved, and the Xiangu mountain products Club was resumed on March 15th of the lunar calendar every year. At that time, yangko, gongs and drums, lion dance, dragon dance, Beijing opera and Shandong opera will compete with each other and be very lively.

One of the legends: the legend of Guo Xiangu

The legend of Guo Xiangu has a long history. According to legend, Guo Xiangu was born more than 1000 years ago in a village called Guojiazhuang in Dongbozi, in front of Wangdao Village in Weihai City.

She lost her mother in her early years and lived alone with her father. She honed and exercised herself in the hardships of life since she was a child. She is hardworking, thrifty, charitable, grateful, virtuous, good at practice and harmonious with her neighbors. Many families in the village have received her support and help. Before practicing Taoism, Guo Xiangu died in a shipwreck. In the difficult situation of life, she supports her family, respects her in-laws and sticks to her chastity. When the plague was raging and the disaster was imminent, she stepped forward regardless of her own safety, climbed mountains and mountains, collected medicinal materials for mountaineering and boiled medicine for villagers, and finally sent away the plague. Her good deeds touched the sky, and she changed from a mortal to a fairy, and built the Xiangu Temple (located in the famous mountain of Weihai-Xianguding), so that she could always pray for the vicissitudes of life.

After the completion of Guo Xiangu Temple, incense continued, and some incurable patients came to Xiangu for treatment. Those who have no children under their knees come to ask nuns to give them children; People in distress at sea come to ask nuns for extradition and navigation; Others came to ask my sister-in-law to turn the corner ... In short, anyone who has difficulties can ask her anytime and anywhere. As long as she conforms to heaven, the nun will give her help and blessing.

The Legend of Guo Xiangu and the Written Records of Xiangu Temple are supplemented by the double engraving of Han and Liao Dynasties in Jingde, North China. In A.D. 1007, a group of troops from Liao country crossed the mountains and rivers and crossed the ocean, carrying fat cattle and sheep and sacrificial gifts, and reverently came to the Xiangu Temple north of Bailu Township, Dengzhou County, JD.COM East Road at that time to worship. The main reason why Liao people worship Xiangu is that the ships of Liao country are lost in the foggy sea, and a light flashes on the top of Xiangu in confusion, guiding the ships to find a way out. After the crew returned to China, they publicized the rescue of Xiangu. When the king learned of this, he sent envoys from Liao to offer sacrifices to Xiangu, and asked Gong Sheng, Weiyong Zhang, local in Bailu Township, Wendeng County to write inscriptions in Chinese and Liao languages, and Fu Zi carved stones to show his determination. This monument now stands in front of Xiangu Temple. It is also the earliest legend of Xiangu and the written records of Xiangu Temple, which have been discovered for thousands of years.

After the changes of different times, Guo Xiangu was constantly mythologized, forming a complete immortal cultural idol, and also became a historical theme that influenced one party's humanistic cultivation and educated social morality. However, under the impact of strong culture, legends are facing unsustainable embarrassment. Most teenagers have not systematically heard of legends. The stories of middle-aged people are fragmented, and several old people are weak. The legend of Guo Xiangu, a folk literature form, is on the verge of extinction and needs to be protected and passed down urgently.

The second legend:

Five kilometers south of the old city of Weihai, there is a village called Wangdao (called Mangdao in Weihai dialect), which consists of Lujiatuan, Mengjiatuan and Majiatuan. There is a mountain in the west of the village, with an altitude of 375 meters. The mountains are steep, the peaks are beautiful, the winding paths are secluded, and the trees are lush. There is a temple on the top of the mountain. People living in Weihai know that Xianguding Temple Fair will be held every year on March 15th of the lunar calendar, but not all Weihai people can know the origin of Xianguding Temple Fair. Today I will talk about the legend of Xianguding.

According to legend, a long time ago, an old man named Guo and his daughter lived on Guanniu Mountain, south of Xianguding. Lao Guo is simple and kind, and her daughter is born beautiful, kind and lovely. When she was sixteen, she suddenly got a serious illness. From then on, she didn't eat or drink, and she did good deeds. She often collects medicines for the people to cure diseases and save the suffering, and is deeply loved by the surrounding villagers. Teacher Guo likes cats, and there are many cats at home. One year, the local people were infected with the plague, which spread quickly and killed many people. In order to save the neighbors, Guo Xiangu personally went up the mountain to collect herbs and fry them for the people to drink. Everyone's illness soon recovered, and the mice that spread the plague were also killed by Guo's cats (there were many stone cats in the former temple to commemorate these contributing cats). )。 Teacher Guo recites Buddha day and night. After years of practice, Mr. Guo finally became an immortal. Since then, Miss Guo has become more charitable and caring for her neighbors. Because Niu Shan, where Xiangu lives, is very small, cowboys often drive cattle up the mountain, destroying the quiet fairyland. So when Guo Laohan died, Xiangu wanted to move to Xiangu Top.

One night, a rich man living in Majiatuan dreamed that a fairy in white gauze floated into the house, crossed her hands and greeted her, and offered to borrow his bordeaux horse to move her home to Xiangudian. The rich man agreed to lend the horse to the nun. After dawn, the old rich man remembered his dream at night and hurried to the stable to check it out. He saw the bordeaux horse sweating profusely, the saddle and the suitcase were still on the horse's back, and there were two gold ingots in the suitcase. This time, the old rich man was so happy that he spread the story of the fairy dream. Villagers in the surrounding villages found that the immortals in Niu Shan were really gone, so they used money to pay for it and built a temple on it, called Shenxian Temple. There will be Xianguding Temple Fair on March 15 every year. On weekdays, people often burn incense on the mountain, kowtow to the fairy and pray for her blessing.

Now, Wangdao Group fully excavates the beautiful legend of Xianguding, develops tourism resources, builds beautiful mountain gates at the foot of Xianguding, repairs Xianguding Temple, and plans roads and environment, which not only enriches the traditional folk culture of Xianguding Temple, but also creates good economic value.

Legend 3:

The top of a nun is dedicated to a nun. It is said that nuns are unmarried all their lives, kind, beautiful and gentle, dedicated to doing things for the local people, and responsive. According to an inscription, the legend of Xiangu has been circulated since the Song Dynasty. It is said that the girl's real name is Guo and she lives with her father. When she was sixteen or seventeen, she didn't know what strange disease she had, and she didn't eat or drink, but she was still alive. Over time, she became a fairy and a "fairy country". There are two stories about fairy tales, one is "fairy trick" and the other is "suicide".

Let's talk about the legend of "Xiangu moved" first: It is said that Xiangu first lived on Nanshan, opposite the top of Xiangu Mountain, but later the children who herded cattle made the mountain dirty and Xiangu decided to move. So I had a dream at the foot of the mountain, the old man in Abel Tamata, saying that she was in a hurry to move and wanted to borrow their bordeaux horse. The old man has always been generous and full of promises. He took his beloved bordeaux horse out of the stable and personally prepared the saddle for Xiangu and put it in the basket. When he woke up at dawn, the old man recalled his dream. This seems unbelievable. He hurried to the door and saw his beloved bordeaux horse covered in sweat, and the saddle and basket were still on the back. Looking carefully, there are two big gold ingots at one end of the basket, and the old man suddenly realizes that this is a thank-you gift from the fairy. Tian Laohan hurriedly told the neighbors about this strange thing, and everyone rushed to tell them and prayed for the mountain. So, when the villagers got together, they decided to build a nun temple on the mountain and pray for the nun's blessing.

Let's start with the legend of "committing suicide": According to legend, Deng Kexin, the leader of the peasant uprising in the Ming Dynasty, lived in the opposite Dengjiazhai. They were surrounded by the Ming army many times, but each time they could not see the target clearly because of the fog, but they were not destroyed. Once surrounded by the Ming army, Deng Kexin casually said to his men, "They are useless. The little girl on the opposite mountain is protecting us. Insurance cannot be attacked. " Who knows that when this was said, the fog on the mountain suddenly dissipated, and the Ming army successfully attacked the top of the mountain, forcing Deng Kexin to commit suicide on the mountain road, so there was the place name of Likou Mountain. The old people said that Deng Kexin was disrespectful and called her a "little bitch", which made her very angry.

Two beautiful legends make Xianguding very famous. People nearby worship Xianguding devoutly in order to pray for her to eliminate disasters, get sick and keep safe. Therefore, the paper money that can be seen everywhere on the mountain road has become a very distinctive landscape in Xianguding. Only young people don't quite agree with this phenomenon. They think of safety, saying that paper money pressed by stones may cause forest fires.

The origin of nun 1

There are many sources of ancient immortals in China, but the maiden name of Xian Gu in Weihai is Guo, and the folk word of mouth says "Xian Gu Guo", but I don't know its source, so I suspect it is a local belief. It is speculated that Guo Xiangu should be a folk land god, who has made achievements in the local area and has filial piety, so she became a god and set up a temple for sacrifice. However, the official history is not contained, and it is very old, so the following article is unknown. Therefore, the Daoguang edition of Wendeng County Records records: "The immortal does not know which generation, the old records are not contained, and there is no one in the city."

The legend of Guo Xiangu is said to have been sung locally for nearly 2000 years (or slightly exaggerated). Through oral creation, dissemination, deduction, belief and sacrifice, a relatively complete local case of Taoist culture has been formed. However, the overall content is slightly insufficient and not systematic enough.

The origin of fairy tales

Legend 1: A local fisherman in guo jia cun lost his mother in a magical year and became a child bride at the age of eight. Do more good in life. After her husband went fishing in the sea and didn't return, Xiangu looked at her husband at the seaside. After waiting for many years, she moved the world and protected people as a god. There are many sayings about saving people at sea, such as sending lights at sea and guiding them to get lost. For example, in the fourth year of Jingde in the north (AD 1007), Liao envoys came to worship and set up a monument. It is rumored that the Liao caravan was in distress at sea, and a nun saved it by magic and made a special trip to repay it. There is a saying that Xiangu saves people at sea, so Xiangu also has a saying that Guanyin or Mazu is incarnated at sea.

Legend 2: According to legend, a nun in the Song Dynasty (with unknown priesthood) traveled eastward to Weihai, and when she saw the beautiful scenery of the towering peak, she practiced here. As a result, today's Xiangu culture has gradually formed. However, "Wendeng County Records" records: "The fairy in the old Weihai branch was passed down as a place where Ma Gu's nuns practiced", so the fairy was regarded as the incarnation of Ma Gu.

Legend 3: According to Taiping Qing Hua, Xiangu's surname is Li, her name is Qiong Xian, and her ancestral home is in South Guangdong. She wandered from fantasy to fantasy, then went to Laoshan to learn Taoism with her brother Yi Wang, and moved to Guyushan Mountain in the southeast of Mouzhou after her study. She was once enshrined as a real person (also known as a fairy) to protect the people.

The legend of Xiangu Temple:

Xiangu Temple has a long history, and the direct witness is two temple monuments. A temple monument was built in Jingdezhen, Song Zhenzong in the fourth year (A.D. 1007), with a history of more than 1000 years. The inscription was written by Zhang Wei, and the Chinese characters were carved in Liao. It is the earliest ancient temple monument discovered in Weihai, with high historical value. Another temple monument was erected in the third year of Kangxi (AD 1664) when Xiangu Temple was rebuilt. The inscription reads "the legacy of the fairy, the journey of Qin and Han Dynasties". Thus, Xiangu Temple has a long history.
