The first monk in China: died at the age of 120, leaving the word 1 before his death. So far, no one understands them.
According to legend, when his mother gave birth to him, he was still a meatball. Note that this is by no means Nezha, but just like Nezha, his parents think this is a freak. Fortunately, a drug seller took the virtual cloud Zen master out of the meat ball, and the whole family was very happy. But it is said that some people deliberately exaggerate the characters and make up stories casually. In ancient China, this was too common. What emperor was born, the wind and thunder were everywhere, and the golden dragon appeared.
Later, Master Xu Yun grew up and shaved his head alone, but his father caught him back and let him kiss him. However, Xu Yun, the Zen master, ran away from home again after marriage, insisting on the road of Buddhism, and had no nostalgia for mortal dust. Walking along the way, Zen master Xu Yun studied Buddhist scriptures and was quite accomplished in Buddhist scriptures. He is hardworking, sleeping in Shan Ye, drinking spring water and eating plants. Later, it had a great influence on modern times and trained many excellent students. Chiang Kai-shek also respected him at that time.
In modern times, he saved a day when mountains and rivers were broken and built a temple, which gave many homeless people a home. In addition, he has a group of disciples. As the revival of Zen Buddhism in later generations, he chose to train a large number of dharma-protecting laymen and Buddhist monks, and many of them became Taoist priests in the end. He also founded the Chinese Buddhist Association in 1953, and is a well-deserved honorary president. Later, the Chinese Buddhist Association was a patriotic group and educational organization shared by Buddhists of all ethnic groups in China, which had a great influence.
Zen master Xu Yun once described his magnificent life with a pair of couplets: sitting and reading five emperors and four dynasties, I didn't feel a few changes; I have suffered a lot and know that things change. This couplet covers almost his whole life. By the time I was 120 years old, my body was overwhelmed, so I called my disciple to explain the aftermath, leaving only one word for my disciple, that is, "precept."
