How delicious Erlang Mountain is
September 5, 2021? Sunday Rain
In the morning, I had a breakfast with local characteristics at the hotel, including haggis soup, haggis noodles, haggis powder, and Black millet porridge...all very delicious. After eating, we set off to Shenmu Erlang Mountain Scenic Area.
Erlang Mountain is a national 4A-level scenic spot. Because there are two protrusions in the middle of the mountain, it looks like a camel's twin humps, so it is also known as "Hump Mountain". According to legend, during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Houzhao, Emperor Wuzong of the Ming Dynasty, passed by the sacred tree on his inspection tour. He saw that the shape of the mountain resembled a desk penholder, so he named it "Beacon Mountain". With an altitude of 1,082 meters, it is known as "Xiaohua Mountain in Northern Shaanxi".
The weather is a bit gloomy and rain is forecast. It will be very comfortable to climb mountains in such weather. On the way to Erlang Mountain, without crossing the Tuwei River, you can see the temple on the mountain peak from a distance. Looking down at Erlang Mountain, it feels very ordinary.
Whether it is due to the weather or the impact of the epidemic, there are not many tourists. After we scanned the QR code and entered the scenic spot, we were faced with dozens of steep steps. The climbers were panting and seemed a bit intimidating to tourists.
Climbing up the steps, I saw an archway at the end of the steps, with the words "Looking up makes you taller", which seemed to encourage people.
Climb to the archway and look back into the distance. The Kuye River and the Tuwei River merge together, splitting a mountain in half. On both sides of the river are densely populated high-rise buildings, and generations of sacred trees live there. people.
It is said that there are more than 100 halls, temples, pavilions and pavilions on Erlang Mountain. Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism are integrated into one, and various religious landscapes are integrated into one. We walked up the stone steps and passed some religious caves such as the Dizang Cave Grotto, the Eight Immortals Cave, and the Holy Mother Hall, but the only one that impressed us most was the Haoranting Cave. This cave is not big. There are poems and steles on the four walls that express the anti-Japanese war. The pavilion is inscribed by He Zhuguo, a famous anti-Japanese general. The four characters "Heaven and Earth are righteous" make people awe-inspiring.
What impressed me most was the stone carving of a calligraphy work, "Qinyuan Spring Snow", and the inscription "Ancient Magic" for Erlang Mountain.
The charm of Erlang Mountain lies in the danger, steepness and strangeness of the mountain. Dangerous, the sides of the mountain are as straight and steep as if they have been struck by an axe; steep, the scenery changes with each step, and the higher you climb, the more surprises are endless; dangerous, the highest and narrowest part of the top of the mountain is less than one meter, and a maximum of two people can pass side by side.
The charm of Erlang Mountain lies in the various mountain flowers that grow in the harsh environment of the cliff. No matter how high the mountain is, there are always trees following it; no matter how ugly the grass is, there are always flowers to accompany it.
The friends who were going up the mountain got separated. When you and your mother reached the top of the mountain, it happened to rain. There were no tourists or staff around, and there were steps leading into the distance ahead. I didn’t know if it was going down the mountain or to a scenic spot that I hadn’t visited yet, and I didn’t know if I should continue walking forward or return the same way.
"The top of the mountain is dangerous, please do not stay on rainy days." Seeing the warning signs and the lightning rods erected nearby, you and your mother quickly returned to the original route. Safety is still the most important thing.
Only when we got to the bottom of the mountain did we know that the steps leading to the distance were to Erlang Temple. According to the inscriptions of the Erlang Mountain Temple, during the Ming Zhengtong period, due to the backward production conditions and the inability to control the Kuye River with the power of the masses, they hoped to use the power of gods to control it, so they built a memorial on the mountain to commemorate Zhao Yu, the god of water control. Zhao Erlang's temple, as the main temple on the mountain, is called Erlang Temple, and the mountain is named Erlang Mountain.
Although the trip to Erlang Mountain did not reach Erlang Temple, everything is perfect if there are small flaws. We have already appreciated the charm of Erlang Mountain and it is a worthwhile trip.
At noon, we ate the local specialty "braised dish" at a stew restaurant called "Wei Duomei".
The stew here is different from the stew in Henan. The stew is sauerkraut and meat and is eaten on a plate without any soup. Because the stew takes a long time, the flavors of the sauerkraut and meat are perfectly combined, and it is not greasy or greasy and is delicious.
Henan stews include various vegetables, vermicelli, and meat. After they are cooked, the vegetables and soup are served in a basin or bowl. You can drink the soup and eat the vegetables. It is warm and suitable for winter. .
In addition to the delicious stews, my mother also likes the wall sticker in this store, which reads, "You should come to this store often. What you drink is wine, what you make friends with is heart, and what you eat is stew." Meat is eaten with love." There is also a plaque that I like very much. The content is "Welcome guests in spring, summer, autumn and winter, and entertain people from the southeast and northwest."
A small store, because of these seemingly inconspicuous promotions, has become very meaningful and heartwarming.
People who walk in the door are immediately enveloped in warmth, just like sauerkraut and meat in a stew. There is me in you, and you in me. The perfect fusion makes you and me...
The taste is so beautiful, the people are so beautiful. , What a beautiful heart!
