Nanyang is also popular with the ceremony of "sending the Nine Emperors Ship", building treasure ships and praying for the separation of the Nine Emperors from the plague and spectre. Just like the King Boat Festival, a folk belief of the Han nationality in Taiwan Province Province, Nanyang sent nine emperors' boats out of the sea or cremated them at the seaside.
