Why is the rainfall in Zhengzhou two or three hundred more than in previous years?
1. The atmospheric circulation situation is stable: the western Pacific subtropical high and continental high are maintained in the Sea of Japan and the northwest of China, respectively, which leads to the stagnation of the low-value weather system between them in Huanghuai area and the long-term precipitation in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.
2. Rich water vapor conditions: In mid-July, Henan was on the edge of the subtropical high, and the convective instability energy was sufficient. /kloc-on 0/8, the typhoon "fireworks" was generated in the western Pacific and approached China. Under the guidance of the easterly airflow around the typhoon and the south side of the subtropical high, a large amount of water vapor was transported to the inland areas of China, which provided a rich source of water vapor for the heavy rainfall in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, and the precipitation efficiency was high.
3. Topographic precipitation effect is remarkable: due to the influence of deep easterly jet and low vortex shear weather system, the special topography of Taihang Mountain and Funiu Mountain in Henan Province has uplifted and converged the easterly airflow. The heavy precipitation area is in the west of Henan Province, with little movement along the mountain in the northwest, and the precipitation increases obviously before the windward slope.
4. The "train effect" of convection is obvious: under the stable weather situation, the small and medium-scale convection in the front area of Funiu Mountain develops repeatedly and moves towards Zhengzhou, forming a "train effect", which leads to large precipitation intensity and long duration, resulting in extremely strong local precipitation.
