What does the Buddhist scripture say? Who is the target of the Buddha? Does the Buddha have magical powers? Why didn't the Buddha arrest all the bad guys? Isn't that convenient?
Sakyamuni is a prince of a small country. After getting married, he left home for an internship, and later he realized something. After he realizes the Tao, he will talk to all kinds of people, and everyone knows something. In India at that time, 90% people were illiterate, and Sanskrit was only popular among Brahmins and other high-caste people, so most people could only express Sakyamuni's thoughts through chanting and chanting, and because Sakyamuni's own education had no certain model, different people had different understandings after listening to it.
After the death of Sakyamuni, his disciples assembled several classics, and different monks and organizations had different understandings of the classics. Since the first classic conference, the monk group has been divided into many sects with different views. So far, there is no unified opinion among different practical schools on many issues.
Although the interpretations of Buddhist scriptures by different parties are different, to sum up, there are several key points, which are in line with the education of Sakyamuni, and those that are not are compiled by others. For an extreme example, if you also write a Buddhist sutra, which is highly original and meets these three key points, then you are also writing Buddhist sutras and Dharma.
The three key points are: all behaviors are impermanent, all laws have no self, and nirvana is silent.
Impermanence means that change is the general attribute of all things, and nothing does not change with time, so if people try to understand the essence of things with sensibility, it will be biased.
All laws have no self: because change is the general attribute of everything, after analyzing all perceptible existence, we will find that it has no fixed core essence. For example, a table, after being cut off, is made of wood. When wood is rotten, it is broken down into basic elements, which are combined into other things. In addition, there is a metaphor: every time a ship is repaired, the nails and boards are changed until all the nails and boards are changed. Is this ship still the one in front? Because everything has no unchanging essence.
Nirvana silence: Based on the above two points, people should also consider these two attributes when they know things and themselves, so as to realize the relationship between spirit, consciousness and desire, but never know the source of spirit, which leads to people being bound by greed and ignorance and unable to get rid of freedom.
Therefore, the target of Buddha's speech is people who are not free and willing to listen to Buddha. If you don't want to listen to what the Buddha says, you are not the object of what the Buddha says. As for the avatar, it is also a kind of advanced illusion. After all, it cannot be liberated.
As for the good guys and the bad guys, catching people or not is not the object of Buddha's concern. He only cares about how he knows the spiritual essence of human beings, so as to achieve self-cognition. If you don't care about this problem, Buddha doesn't have to tell you this. For example, De Broglie studied the wave-particle duality of electrons. You ask, why didn't De Broglie study how to treat leukemia? Because he is engaged in physics, not chemistry.
