Information on world cultural heritage
Lijiang has a large temperature difference between day and night. The Naxi ancient buildings in Yuhe Square are layered one after another, and their outline features can be seen at a glance. The flowers, plants and trees on Yuhe Street look like a fairy tale world under the light.
The stone roads in the ancient city are bright and spotless.
It is reported that Sifang Street and the connected streets are flushed with water from the Yu River, and the streets where the river cannot flow are cleaned by each household. In this way, the stone slabs on the streets of the ancient city are always colorful.
The red lanterns are hung high, and there is a bridge across the Yuhe River and a home.
The colorful stone pavement on the street has been polished and polished, spotless. There are many shops on both sides of the street, with a dazzling array of folk handicrafts, and women play the leading role in the shops. The Yuquan River flows gently and happily through the streets and alleys. The river is only two or three meters wide. The water is clear, and groups of red, yellow, pink, blue, black, white, and gray fish are playing freely in the water. It is said that the water-loving Naxi people regard fish that cannot live without water as brothers, and no one has ever salvaged this little creature from the Yuquan River. There are stone bridges and stone arch bridges all over the river, and there are small bridges and flowing water. Along the roadside by the river, weeping willow trees drift in the wind, enjoying the spring scenery. The colorful flowers bloomed with smiles on their faces, as if to say: "How wonderful it is to have friends from far away!" Red lanterns were hung high everywhere, creating a joyful atmosphere.
Every morning, there are young people sketching by the Jade River
Beside the square, by the Jade River, there are weeping willows and blooming flowers.
Jade spring water gushes out from the rocks at the foot of the mountain and forms a 40,000 square meter lake. The water is as clear as jade. There are beautiful lakes and mountains, lush ancient trees, pavilions and pavilions, green willow curtains, lush lawns and blooming flowers.

Common street scenes in the ancient city
Lijiang snacks in the ancient city are quite distinctive, including Lijiang Baba, Chickpea jelly, Yongsheng Camellia oleifera, glutinous rice blood sausage...the temptation is irresistible and you can try it, but it is not suitable to eat as a meal, after all, it is more expensive. It is said that if you want to eat cheaply, you should go to Xincheng. Fortunately, Xincheng is very close to the inn.
The best place to overlook the ancient city is Wanggu Tower
The Yuhe River goes around the streets and alleys. There is no floating object on the river, no garbage, and the river water does not emit any odor. Its cleanliness is much better than the Funan River in Chengdu.
On one side of the Yuhe River is the street, and on the other side are the tables of various restaurants in an orderly manner under the willow shades.
Having a meal under the shade of the willows by the Jade River is a unique pleasure.
Vine roses can be seen everywhere, and their flowers are more than ten centimeters in diameter. They climb up high branches, over walls, and onto rooftops, adding to the beauty of Lijiang.
The air quality in Lijiang is high, the plants are spotless, the leaves are shiny green, and the tall trees stand proudly against the blue sky.
Lijiang’s street trees commonly include willows, cherry blossoms, and arborvitae. In spring, cherry blossoms are in full bloom.
This old Naxi mother sells some small Naxi handicrafts on the street next to the inn every day. She is friendly to tourists and happy to take photos.

Before the performance of Naxi ancient music.
The photos above the stage are of old artists who have made contributions to Naxi ancient music and have passed away one after another. The good news is that there are already young people inheriting this cultural heritage that has been passed down through the ages.
The Naxi Ancient Music Club has gone through many ups and downs, which are really hard to describe. In the past 20 years since 1987, they have visited dozens of countries and regions at home and abroad to perform and give lectures, achieving great success and repercussions, and achieving double harvests in terms of economic and social benefits
Naxi ancient music inherits Taoist cave music, Confucian ritual music, some lyrics, tunes, miscellaneous music of the Tang, Song, Yuan and Ming dynasties, and ancient Naxi ancestor music. It has the characteristics of old artists, old instruments, and old music scores. The programs include "Bagua", "Langtaosha", "Yijiangfeng", "Shanshan Sheep", "Bu Bu Jiao", "Water Dragon Song" and other musical instruments, ancient poetry singing, ancient soprano and Naxi folk songs a cappella singing, etc. . The melody is pleasant to the ear, has distinctive characteristics, may be majestic or melodious, and carefully contains the meaning, as if you are in the ancient mythical world. You can't help but think of the heavenly palace, the fairyland of the moon, the powerful warriors and the heavenly soldiers... It makes people have endless reverie and endless aftertaste. After the one-and-a-half-hour performance, the audience rushed to buy relevant books and music CDs, and foreign guests were particularly enthusiastic. This shows that the more national the show, the more global it is.

Today is even clearer than yesterday. The sky is so mesmerizingly blue. Looking up at the pure blue sky, I really want to fly into it and let the endless blue wrap around my body, wash away the dirt and purify my soul. The bright sunshine caused the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to lift its gauze, revealing its crystal face, clearly showing its pretty figure to people. The snow-capped mountains are waving to us!
We took the bus from Xincheng to Xueshan, and it cost 9 yuan per passenger to Yunshanping.
There was a "lone ranger" from Liaoning in the same car. The young man carried a backpack and a bag. He was energetic, high-spirited and very talkative. The microbus drove towards the snow-capped mountains, and the vast Bazi of Lijiang, surrounded by mountains, gradually came into view. There is a large area of meadow in the dam. Perhaps the rain has not kept up with the pace of the spring girl. The grass buds have not yet awakened, and the meadow is still withered and yellow. There is also a considerable part of the dam that is covered with jagged rocks of all sizes. Part of the area is planted with patches of cypress trees, and there are still many areas left uncultivated. This kind of place may not be suitable for grazing. If it is not planted in time, Will trees be transformed by desertification? Hey, are we "unfounded"?
The bus enters the snow mountain scenic area, and the ticket is 120 yuan per passenger. There are three cableways on the Snow Mountain: the large cableway costs 180 yuan, which can go straight up to 4,506 meters above sea level. After that, you can climb the plank road to reach 4,680 meters. It is said that you can reach here as if you can reach the top of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain; the middle cableway costs 60 yuan, and goes up to Maoniuping; the small cableway 40 yuan, go to Yunshanping. Liaoning's "Lone Ranger" wanted to get on the big ropeway and got off the car first. We choose small ropeways based on physical and financial conditions.
The car continues to move forward. The snow-capped mountains are shining silver in the sun, constantly changing their angles to show us their majestic appearance. After our petition, the driver agreed to stop for a few minutes to let us take pictures of the snow-capped mountains. Then the bus goes to Yunshanping Station. It was approaching noon and the sun was very bright.
There are so many people at the entrance of Yunshanping Cableway! The queue lasted for dozens of minutes, but the order was very good. In fact, the ropeway is not too high or very long. We saw some people climbing on their own along the path on the ropeway, which shows that good health is an advantage. As soon as I got out of the ropeway, I suddenly felt that my eyes were wide open. I could see the forest and sea in the distance, I could hear the waves of pine trees, the blue sky and white clouds and the snow-capped mountains were closer, and the fresh air was refreshing. We then walked along the wooden plank road to Yunshanping. This is a large open area in the forest under the snow-capped mountains. I don’t know whether it is hundreds of acres or thousands of acres. If it were not surrounded by spruce trees that tower into the blue sky, it would make people feel that the snow-capped mountains are "rising out of the ground" right in front of them. . There are many tourists here. You can go further along the boardwalk, but we didn’t continue and stopped here to return.
We found that there were felled trees in the forest. Some were newly cut, some were covered with moss, some were rotten, and some were too big for a person to hold. I don’t know why!
We took the bus from Yunshanping back to Baishui River. The ticket was 1 yuan. The scenery of Baishui River was good and the water color was very good.
Take the bus back to Ganhaizi, the ticket is 2 yuan. Ganhaizi Lake is surrounded by a large meadow, and we like the openness here. There were only two elderly tourists like us at the Ganhaizi scenic spot in Nuoda. The sun was hot and the wind was so strong that the sun hat was blown all over the place. It feels like "the back is hot when exposed to the sun, but the chest is cool when the wind blows". To adjust the temperature difference between the yang and yin sides, just "turn it over and bask in the sun". The old woman was chatting like a teenager, wandering around in the dry meadow.
Next to Ganhaizi Lake, a golf course is being built. It seems that a spot by the lake has been built, and a man in red is hitting the ball. Ganhaizi Lake was surrounded by barbed wire. We wanted to take pictures of the lake. When we got closer, someone came to warn us: "Don't get close, it's dangerous!" This was really confusing. Ganhaizi is part of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Scenic Area. For an attraction that is included in the 120 yuan ticket, why can’t tourists be allowed closer to the lake? Who gave someone such power to circle a tourist attraction! Why aren't tourists given an explanation beforehand? We still took photos.
It was getting late, so we walked onto the highway to hail the bus back to Lijiang. The ticket cost 8 yuan per passenger. I was really tired from playing today, but overall I was very happy. Taking the bus to the snow-capped mountains saves a lot of fare compared to chartering a bus or taking a taxi.
Lijiang Bazi, photographed through the window of a bus, seems to need better vegetation.

Trees that were cut down for unknown reasons. I hope it's legal and reasonable. Hopefully, saplings can be replanted after felling.
The wooden plank road leading to Yunshanping is relatively flat and not far away
Looking at the snow mountains from Yunshanping, the main peak of Yulong Snow Mountain, Fandui, can be clearly seen. It seems closer, as if you are walking through the spruce forest to the foot of the snow-capped mountains
The spruce trees pointing directly at the blue sky
See the snow-capped mountains from the downhill cableway. In the picture, a large white cloud hangs over the main peak of the snow-capped mountain.
From the Baishui River, you can clearly see the main peak of Yulong Snow Mountain, Fan Steep.
The job of these beautiful yaks is to accompany tourists to take photos. They are very docile. When the weather gets hot, they will walk to the travertine pool under the Baishui River to cool off, and then consciously return to the shore.

Gan Haizi was surrounded by barbed wire. The lakeside on the right side of the picture is a golf course that has been repaired or is under construction.

Although the lake is not big, it is still beautiful. Why can’t tourists be allowed to visit?

The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain protects Lijiang Bazi with its deep mind and strong arms, and nurtures the Chinese descendants of the Naxi and other ethnic groups.
The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain stretches for 35 kilometers and has 13 peaks. The main peak, Fanzi, has a steep altitude of 5,595 meters. It is still a virgin peak and no one has climbed to the top yet.
The Naxi people call her "Wulu (Silver Stone Snow Peak)", and she is the spiritual sustenance of the Naxi people.
We got up late today and the weather was not as good as yesterday, so we decided to visit nearby places.
I have long heard about the "Ten Thousand Camellia Flowers", and I went there today because of its fame. Take the bus to Yufeng Temple, the ticket is 8 yuan per person. Tickets for Yufeng Temple are 20 yuan per person. I met several domestic and foreign tour groups in the parking lot. As soon as they entered the gate, everyone went straight to Camellia. Thousands of camellia trees, known as the "King of Camellia in the World", are planted in the northwest courtyard. It is said that this tree is more than 500 years old. Generations of lamas in the temple have carefully maintained it, making it luxuriant and everlasting, with many and large flowers. It's a pity that the camellia tree we are facing is not in its peak flowering period and is not as prosperous as imagined.
We met an old couple from Chongqing here, and we all helped each other take photos. The old couple chartered a taxi from Lijiang Old Town to Baisha and Yufeng Temple, and the fare was 40 yuan. They wanted to go to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, but were afraid of altitude sickness. After listening to our introduction about yesterday's tour, they decided to discuss with the driver to go to Yunshanping Cableway. The old couple left as soon as they agreed, and everyone said "bye" to each other.
Next we visited the main hall of Yufeng Temple. The main hall courtyard has a quadrangle layout. Its architectural style combines Tibetan Buddhism, Han Buddhism and Dongba Buddhism. There are tantric Buddhist pictures on the roof of the temple, Buddha statues on the beams, and a "Thangka" Buddha statue at one end of the corridor of the main hall. What makes people feel unhappy is that there is old dust above and below the main hall, the items have not been sorted out, and there are messes in the courtyard. These "failures" make the main hall less spiritual and inferior to Wenshu Monastery and Zhaojue Temple in Chengdu.
The most annoying thing is that there are no toilets in the Yufeng Temple Scenic Area. After asking, it turns out that the free toilets in the scenic area are locked and there are no charges. The only way to go to the public toilet is to go out of the gate, which requires walking through a small street and then through the parking lot, which is a hundred or dozens of meters away from the gate. In this case, don't stay here and go out. This is simply ironic, there is no WC in the 20 yuan ticket! Regarding its scenery and services, many tourists said: "This 20 yuan is too expensive and not worth it!"
We took the bus back to Baisha Street to see the murals, and the bus fare was 3 yuan per passenger. Tickets for the mural are 15 yuan. The Baisha murals are preserved in the "Liu Li Hall and Dabaoji Palace" building complex. This building complex was built in the Ming Dynasty and has ancient architectural techniques. The murals were painted between the 17th year of Hongwu (1384 AD) and the 11th year of Wanli (1583 AD) in the Ming Dynasty. They include Tibetan Buddhism, Han Buddhism and Taoist themes, and integrate Tibetan, Han and Naxi painting styles.
We entered the Dabaoji Palace where the murals are preserved. The palace was very dark and there were no lights. We understand that lighting and taking pictures will damage the murals. But there are no staff present, we can’t see anything clearly, and we know nothing about the content of the mural. Isn’t it a waste of time? So we found a security guard and asked him to give his opinion. We should not "fool" tourists like this! The young man had a good attitude and immediately went to find the commentator. The commentator girl gave us a detailed explanation, allowing us to start from the "Haihui of Nanmo Peacock Mingwang Great Buddha Mother" on the south wall, "Haihui of Infinite Life" on the main wall, "Avalokitesvara in Transformation" on the north wall, and the back wall. I learned a lot from the murals such as "Namo Protector Sutra" and so on. The girl also told us the story of a PLA engineering regiment leader and PLA soldiers who used their wisdom to protect these murals during the "Cultural Revolution", which made us stand in awe! The opportunity to view these murals today is hard-won and should be cherished. Finally, we also purchased information about the murals.
After that, we visited the "Mushi Tusi Historical and Cultural Exhibition" in the Baisha Mural Scenic Area.
Today, it is worth mentioning two young foreigners who caught our attention. On the bus in the morning, these two young people riding bicycles carrying backpacks and cameras passed by us while cleaning the window. Now we saw them again at the Baisha Mural Gate. That is "green" travel. You can stop wherever you want, as long as time permits, and it will be of great benefit to the economy, body, and environmental protection. There are many places to rent bicycles in the ancient city. The inn where we stayed had one. It cost 15 yuan per day for a bicycle. It's a pity that we are no longer young!
Take a bus from Baisha back to the ancient city. The fare is 5 yuan per passenger. When I returned to the inn, I wanted to take a rest but couldn't because the construction of renovating the lines in the inn was still in progress since yesterday, and the room was in a mess. Let’s visit the ancient city again. When we arrived at the "Mufu", unfortunately it was close to the closing time of the Mufu Museum and we didn't go in. Tickets for Mufu are 30 yuan. After that we asked for directions to see the "Three Eyes Well". Went back to the inn at 8pm. I was so tired, so I had to take a rest.

The flowers bloom at the beginning of spring and disappear at the beginning of summer. It is said that it was opened in 20 batches, with more than 1,000 flowers in each batch, and more than 20,000 flowers in each batch, hence the name "Ten Thousand Camellias". During the blooming period, the flowers are densely packed all over the flower stand. But this is not the flowering season.

April 22, 2005 Lijiang Sunny
I have long wanted to go to Tiger Leaping Gorge, but I was worried that it would be too steep. Yesterday I listened to the introduction of a young man who returned from Shangri-La in the same inn and decided to go today. Tiger Leaping Gorge is 85 kilometers away from Lijiang, and a round-trip taxi fee is 180 yuan. The driver, Master Zhan, took the initiative to show us his four IDs to reassure us. Master Zhan's car drove very steadily along the way, and he was also a good tour guide.
Lijiang City is located at the southern foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, while Tiger Leaping Gorge is to the north. The car will drive to the "behind" of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The highway goes west through Lashihai to the First Bend of the Yangtze River, and then north along the Jinsha River to Tiger Leaping Gorge. The Lijiang Bazi near Lashihai is more open than the one near Ganhaizi. It is a different scene, with criss-crossing roads and full of spring. Lashihai is larger than Ganhaizi. It is a plateau glacier lake formed by tectonic movement in the Hengduan Mountains. It has been developed into a wetland park. This is a paradise for birds. Migratory birds come and go in autumn and spring, and the birds sing like songs. When we looked at Lashihai from the highway, we felt fascinated. It's a pity that I didn't go because I didn't have enough time today. Finally, Master Zhan gave us the information on Lashihai.
The car continues to the first bay of the Yangtze River. The Wanli Yangtze River originates from the Tanggula Mountains on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Together with the Lancang River and the Nu River, it flows southward along the Hengduan Mountains and Gorges. The Yangtze River (called the Jinsha River in the upper reaches of Yibin City, Sichuan) flows to Shigu Town in Lijiang and is blocked by the Hailuo Mountain Cliff. Then he left behind the two sisters, Lancang River and Nujiang River, and turned around to go north alone, forming a huge "U"-shaped bend. This is the first bay of the Yangtze River, which is 50 kilometers away from Lijiang.
Shigu Town is named after a stone drum-shaped stele carved from white marble. This stele is a stele commemorating the expansion of the Mu family chieftain in Lijiang. On the other side of the river is Shasongbi Village in Shangri-La (Zhongdian County). The ferry in this village has been a battleground for military strategists of all ages. It is said that both Zhuge Liang and Kublai Khan chose this ferry as the ferry. It was also the place where the Red Army of the Second Front crossed the Jinsha River during the Long March. 's main ferry crossing. When we went to Tiger Leaping Gorge, we didn’t get off the bus because there were so many cars on the side of the road. We got off the bus on the side of the road to take pictures when we returned.
The car continues northward along the Jinsha River and enters the Tiger Leaping Gorge Scenic Area 35 kilometers away from Shigu Town. Here, the Yangtze River flows through the canyon between the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (5596 meters above sea level) and Haba Snow Mountain (5396 meters above sea level). The depth of the canyon reaches 3900 meters, the river surface drop reaches 220 meters, and the narrowest point of the river surface is only about 20 meters. There is a poem that praises: "The ax that split the city left no trace, and the plows and oxen flowed out to rush towards Li. A line divided the sky as a chasm, and the two mountains sandwiched the stone as the gate." Here, a huge stone lies in the middle of the river, and the rapids roar when it reaches this point. , the sound of the waves is shaking, the white waves are rolling, and it is thrilling. According to legend, a tiger leaped to the other side of the river with the help of a huge boulder in the middle of the river, hence the name Tiger Leaping Gorge or Tiger Leaping Stone.
There is a myth among the Naxi people: the Jinsha River, the Lancang River, and the Nu River are three lively and beautiful sisters who run south side by side. When they arrived at Shigu Town, the eldest sister Jinsha dreamed that the Dragon King of the East China Sea waved to her and said: "All rivers return to the sea, why don't you return?" Jinsha was tempted, so she said goodbye to her two sisters, turned around and ran north to the east. But the two brothers Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain blocked the way and said: "No beauty from the south of the colorful clouds is allowed to marry into the Dragon Palace of the East China Sea!" Jinsha took Haba on duty and danced and sang softly. Haba was intoxicated and fell asleep, and Jinsha left. Tiger Leaping Gorge took its way away, and from then on Tiger Leaping Gorge left behind the breathtaking singing and laughter of Jinsha. Yulong found out that Haba had let Jinsha go. He was furious and cut off Haba's head with his sword. The head fell halfway up the mountain and became a river-viewing platform. Since then, Haba Snow Mountain has no steep peaks, only gentle tops covered with snow all year round.
The Hengduan Mountains have sharpened the extraordinary majesty of the Yangtze River. We are not afraid of any obstacles and always move forward bravely! The Hengduan Mountains have influenced the Yangtze River's soft yet strong character. When soft, it's as quiet as a virgin, but when it's strong, it's as fierce as a dragon!
On the cliff on the west side of Tiger Leaping Gorge is the highway to Shangri-La. The car parked on the side of the road, people walked down the artificial plank road from the road, and went to the bottom of the gorge to get a closer look at Tiger Leaping Gorge. It looked like the plank road Very steep. Young people who were staying at the same inn once said that there were more than a thousand stone steps on this plank road, which made their legs and feet weak. If you are not going to Shangri-La, get off on the east side of Tiger Leaping Gorge. There is a man-made sightseeing plank road on the cliff on the east side, with a total length of 2.6 kilometers. It is very gentle. You can also take a rickshaw for a round trip. The round trip fare is 40 yuan per car. If tourists go to the bottom of the gorge for sightseeing and have to wait for the car, usually an additional 10 yuan will be charged. Yuan. Tickets for Tiger Leaping Gorge on the east side are 30 yuan. There is a small shop in the scenic area, which sells snacks, drinks, films, etc., but it is relatively expensive, with a film costing 28 yuan.
There are many Chinese and foreign tourists in Tiger Leaping Gorge. People hold up "long guns and short cannons" and take pictures of the scenery. We also saw the old foreign lady we had met in Lijiang Old Town. She was slightly fat, had gray hair, and used short crutches. She looked like a "lone ranger". She placed her crutches flat on the ground when taking pictures. This detail is safe and prevents the crutches from accidentally falling down and hitting herself or others. The old lady is traveling with crutches, she is in good spirits! It also shows that the motherland’s great rivers and mountains are attractive to the whole world! We also saw a group of Chinese young people touring with their elders on crutches, which was respectable and admirable!
Return to Lijiang Old Town in the afternoon. Once again, it feels like the golden holiday has started in advance. In the past few days, more and more tourists have come to Lijiang. Tour buses are coming one after another, and tour groups are following one after another. The tour guides carry small pennants on their shoulders, and most of them are wearing national costumes. Many tour guides are walking backwards on the streets of the ancient city, constantly explaining to the tourists as they retreat.
We also tried to retreat. After only a few steps, we felt that we were going to fall. It is easy to see but difficult to do. I admire the young tour guides for their well-trained skills. I also heard that some tour guides gave explanations to foreign guests entirely in English. No matter what job you do, it is a science.
With the last bit of time left, we visited the Dongba Cultural Palace in the ancient city and took photos with the "National Treasure Old Dongba" and Guohua.
At 8:30 pm, our group embarked on the return journey with the "self-tourists" who came to Lijiang. The weather is clear and the air is transparent. The moon is shining brightly and the stars are twinkling. Who is waving, who is calling, allowing us to project the scenes in our minds into the night sky and play them back? Ah, goodbye ancient city! Goodbye Lijiang! You will leave us with a beautiful impression that will never fade!
(Picture 1 below. Lijiang Bazi near Lashihai has criss-crossing streets, alternating with yellow and green. The yellow fields are rapeseed flowers, and the green fields are wheat, broad beans and other crops. It is full of spring and full of vitality. )
The season here is later than that in the Chengdu Plain. The rapeseed in the Chengdu Plain has all set seeds, and the rapeseed flowers here are in full bloom

This should be the first bridge on the Yangtze River, which refers to the earliest Yangtze River bridge built in terms of construction time. It was completed and opened to traffic in 1955 . Searching the Internet for "the first bridge on the Yangtze River", haha, there are many entries, with space, time and scale. It seems that everyone is vying to be the "first bridge on the Yangtze River".
This is the upper reaches of the Jinsha River about 2,700 meters away from Tiger Leaping Gorge.
