Why is it dusty in summer under the influence of cold peak?
In winter and spring, the cold air of Mongolian high pressure (anticyclone) forms a cold front southward, and the warm air mass in front of the cold front is relatively dry, so it is difficult to form precipitation. However, in North China, the temperature rises, the rain belt does not move, the evaporation is greater than the precipitation (drought), the air pressure is low (ground airflow rises), the snow and ice melt, and the vegetation is not restored, which is easy to produce dusty weather. When the intensity of dusty weather reaches a certain level, it is called sandstorm. If the cold front system is formed, it may produce a big sandstorm. The cold front in frontal cyclone makes it difficult to form precipitation in dusty weather, but the formed cold front system may produce large sandstorms.
Drought, lack of rain, warming and rising temperature in the early stage are the special weather and climate background for the formation of sandstorms. The convective cells before the ground cold front develop into clouds or squall lines, which is a small and medium-sized system conducive to the development and strengthening of sandstorms. The topographic condition conducive to the increase of wind speed, that is, the narrow tube effect, is one of the favorable conditions for the formation of sandstorms.
