Why use the mouse?

1. The part of the force used to move the mouse is the wrist. This is the most sensitive and precise way of exerting force. This is how humans can complete fine sculptures and paintings. So use this to move the mouse to complete fine operations. But simply moving the finger parts will not work. It’s more difficult to move your hands with your elbows and arms delicately, and it’s also easy to get tired.

2. Although the touch screen can be operated directly with fingers, thick fingers require that the functional area must be enlarged, otherwise it is easy to accidentally touch it, which is basically a nightmare for functional software such as drawing software. Moreover, the screen is so big that I move my elbows and arms like a madman, and I basically go crazy at the end of the day. The screen is small, so it’s fine for playing but not for work.

3. Although playing with a stylus is more precise than using fingers, it is the same with a large screen. You must wave your elbows and arms. It's okay to hold the screen when holding it, but it's always visually difficult, and you have to pick it up and put it down from time to time, unlike using a mouse to just put your hand on the table.

4. Compared with the mouse type, the touchpad I tried was mainly based on wrist force, but it also relied on finger movements. I always felt that it could not get it right at once. It was still poor in fine operation, but it was suitable for large users. It is sufficient for some operations.

So, after comparison, the mouse is indeed a great invention.
