What happened to the five eyes, six magical powers and five eyes of Buddhism?
This is the classification of Buddhist five eyes and five eyes, and the words are similar. It was the Buddha who first asked, "What is the meaning of Bodhi?" What do you mean? Does the Buddha have naked eyes, celestial eyes, bright eyes, dharma eyes and Buddha eyes?
The twelve parts of the three sets of Buddhist scriptures divide Buddhist scriptures into twelve categories, one of which is "talking by yourself", that is, talking by yourself, rather than being asked by others. This paragraph represents twelve kinds of soliloquies, which is a question raised by the Buddha.
There is no "Buddha", only "Tathagata". The name Tathagata represents the metaphysical Tao body, and all living beings are in the mind-body of buddhas and bodhisattvas, which is the foundation of life. He said it has five functions, so it is called five eyes. The first is the naked eye, just like us. It is the naked eye born by parents, and it is our eyes now. The naked eye can see the material world, from which all our feelings and perceptions come.
This naked eye is connected with the heart, so many classics, the heart and the eye are the same, when it comes to the truth of the heart, first mention the eye. The eyes are the switch of the heart, so the relationship between the heart and the eyes is very close. The Taoist Yin Fujing said: "The eye is the machine of the heart" and the eye is the switch of the heart, so the ancients mentioned the relationship between the heart and the eye in many places; For example, Mencius talked about observing people, especially the eyes.
Everyone has eyes, but each pair of eyes sees something different. As far as we are concerned, such as this wall, all of us look white. In fact, everyone feels that the degree of whiteness is completely different from the image of whiteness. Because some people are astigmatic, some people are nearsighted, some people are nearsighted in one eye, some people are astigmatic in one eye, and some people are color blind, all of which are different. Therefore, all beings have different hearts and different eyes.
We used to have an old saying that people's hearts are different; Everyone has different ideas, just like people's faces are different. No human face in the world is the same, which shows that people in the world have different ideas in their hearts and different views in their eyes. Don't think that this white yellow looks like everyone else, but it is far from it. Presbyopia is different from presbyopia and presbyopia because everyone's karma is different.
Therefore, whether our body and mind are healthy depends on different species and karma. Some people are particularly sensitive to the climate, and it is very hot today. Some people are not afraid of heat, but they are afraid of cold! Because everyone's health is different, because karma is different.
It is absolutely idealism to say that all diseases are caused by karma, good is good, evil is evil, and karma is created by heart.
Now the Buddha asks, does a man who becomes a Buddha have an ordinary naked eye? Of course, what the naked eye sees is these phenomena in the physical world.
The second is the eye of the sky, which we ordinary people hardly have. The ability of the eye is beyond the material world, such as seeing ghosts and gods and even other worlds. Now people say clairvoyance is translated according to Taoist legends. The eye of the sky can see things in the desire system, including people from the sun, the moon and other planets; You can also see things outside the galaxy, which belong to the real eye of the sky. Some people sit up and see some shadows and stars. They thought it was the eye of the sky, but it wasn't. That can only be said that we can't name it, it's called Eye Day! Eyes, God, I don't know anything! (Laughter)
In religion, the description of the eye of heaven means that the plastic Buddha statue has an extra eye to represent the eye of heaven and insight. Some people and some creatures have not only three eyes, but also four eyes. Therefore, in Buddhism, there are ways to cultivate the heavenly eye and the ten eyes. There are eyes in the front, eyes in the back, eyes on the top of the head, eyes in the heart and eyes in the throat. Of course, this is different from ordinary eyes, but it can illuminate things like cameras and video recorders!
There are two kinds of eye, one is reward, the other is multi-generation practice, so that eye will be rewarded in this life; It is an innate ability, and naturally it is the result of doing good. The other is practice, practice in this life. Because of the achievements of practice, determination and wisdom, this life has made the Eye of Heaven.
The eye of heaven is not how long an eye is, but the naked eye itself, which has another function. Men with good eyes are like us ordinary people, but naturally they will see many worlds.
People who practice kung fu often have many illusions in their eyes when their pulse reaches the back of their heads and their visual nerves are stimulated. That's not a natural vision! Make no mistake. When you really have a vision, this person's eyes are as clear as electricity and see very thoroughly; In other words, material things can't stop him, and his eyes naturally have the ability to see through.
During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, there was a doctor named Bian Que. It is said that he once met a fairy and gave him a treasure that can be seen through. His eyes have become worse than X-rays, and he can see human internal organs, so his diagnosis can't be wrong. There are many records after the Tang Dynasty. Some people's eyes are born with geomantic omen, and they can see a few feet underground without a detector. They can clearly see the vein of groundwater.
Eyes like this are not eyes, but ghost eyes. So the real eyes are the eyes of parents mentioned in Hokkekyo, which need to practice concentration. These naked eyes can see everything in the world.
The naked eye is a common phenomenon to watch the material world, while the celestial eye can see through the world invisible to the naked eye; Therefore, the Eye of Heaven is born of concentration, and it is a magical power gained by concentration. When people's life function is enriched to the extreme, they can cross all physiological obstacles, which is the so-called magical power. Avatar must have enough concentration, and the so-called essence is full, in order to achieve it.
Furthermore, the eyes are inseparable from the naked eye, and also work through the natural naked eye of parents. The so-called discerning eye is the eye of wisdom, which is the expression of abstinence, determination and wisdom; Become smart because of modification. This is not ordinary wisdom, but wisdom becomes strength and wisdom, and this wisdom eye is produced.
How does wisdom turn into strength? We ordinary smart people have figured it out. For example, smoking is bad for the lungs and needs to be changed. That makes sense, but I'm not used to it. Wisdom has no power and cannot be changed. Another example is bad temper, greed, anger and delusion. We all know the truth, but we can't reverse it. Although it makes sense to learn Buddhism, it can't be reversed at the last moment. This is the reason why wisdom is not strong enough, that is, it cannot bear fruit and become a Tao.
Therefore, a true eye can only be achieved if the power of wisdom is sufficient.
What is the eye of law? Look at the sky with your eyes. And the body that can truly understand the emptiness and emptiness of the self is the eye of the law. Law sees that all beings are equal, not empty. The light falls on the side of nothing or Hinayana fruit, and it is necessary to be able to truly observe the beauty in nothing. In the realm of ordinary people, it is the source of sexual emptiness; In the realm of enlightenment and wisdom, it is a vacuum that makes wonderful things happen. This is the truth of the law and an equal point of view.
The fifth is the Buddha's eye, not just equality, but compassion and love for all sentient beings. Compassion is a Buddhist name that combines two concepts. Compassion is paternal, representing male love and perfect love. Sorrow represents maternal love, and compassion is the kindness of parents. It is the best, unconditional and equal, so it is called compassion. From the Buddha's point of view, all sentient beings deserve pity, so giving to all sentient beings and saving them is compassion and equality in the Buddha's eyes.
Those who truly learn Buddhism and practice according to law and achieve something must have these five eyes. If someone in the world suddenly becomes a Buddha and the site has these five functions, then his dharma is roughly correct; If you think you are enlightened in theory, but this five-eye function has not been started, you are deceiving yourself.
Therefore, we know that the five eyes mentioned by the Buddha are the achievements of meditation wisdom and the practice of natural achievements. This is also the function of everyone's nature, but we haven't practiced it, so we can't get on. If we practice, the instinct in our life will naturally activate the function of the five eyes. This is the first question.
Second question, the Diamond Sutra is here. Why did the Buddha suddenly mention the problem of five eyes? He asked himself and answered himself, but there was no following. At least he only asked questions about five eyes. Then I said something else. Where is the truth? Today, Sakyamuni Buddha looks like an ophthalmologist. He asked you to open your eyes. He did it automatically. He doesn't want you to register. What is the reason?
This represents seeing the place, so-called seeing nature with a clear mind. Really achieved enlightenment, clear mind and sex. In this line of sight, it truly presents the situation, and it naturally has the function of five eyes; So what you see is true, which is the so-called view of seeing nature. In the Diamond Sutra, this mystery is not revealed, but we really study Buddhism and read Buddhist classics. This place can't let go of the past, and that's its problem.
