Clinical application ① Treatment of malaria
Take water from centipede, root it up (sun-dried to half-dry) for 2-3 seconds, and decoct it in water for 3-4 hours. Take it 2 hours or 1 day before the onset of malaria for 3 days. * * * 48 cases were treated, of which 21 cases were treated with 2 Liang, and plasmodium was found in blood test before taking the medicine, but the symptoms disappeared after taking the medicine, and 15 cases were not found in thick blood film; 27 cases were treated with 3 Liang, and 24 cases were effective. It is considered that the dosage should not be less than 3 Liang, the decocting time should not be less than 3 hours, and the medicine should be taken for not less than 3 days. However, according to the experimental results made by mice in the Institute of Parasitology, Jiangsu Branch of China Academy of Medical Sciences, it is proved that the effect of centipede on plasmodium murine is not good, and it can be preliminarily confirmed that it is ineffective against plasmodium murine; At the same time, it was observed that both the concentrated decoction of the root of the centipede and the ethanol reflux concentrated solution were toxic. Therefore, it is extremely necessary to do a toxicity test before using a large dose of centipede for clinical trials.
② Treatment of chyluria
Take two pieces of dried rhizome of centipede and two pieces of longan, decoct them in water, one dose a day, or take them instead of tea for 15 days. More than 1 cases have been treated, and all of them have certain effects.
③ Treatment of bacillary dysentery
Take 1.2 centipede and 1.2 rattan respectively, and decoct them in water for 2 times (2 doses per day for severe cases). 7 cases were treated, with an average of about 7 days, 54 cases were cured, 14 cases were markedly effective and 2 cases were ineffective. The average antipyretic time was 2.3 days, the average number of stool times and characters returned to normal was about 5 days, and the average stool culture turned negative was 4.8 days. Compared with sulfaguanidine control group, its curative effect seems to be not inferior.
④ Treatment of chronic tracheitis
Take 1 kg of Myrica rubra (centipede) and half kg of roots and leaves of Cinnamomum fragrans (Cang Shu), add 1 ml of water and distill, and take 5 ml of middle distillate, 2 ml each time, three times a day, 1 days as a course of treatment. 92 cases were treated, 11 cases were recently controlled, 12 cases were markedly effective, 41 cases were improved, and the effective rate was 69.4%. This medicine has certain antitussive, antiasthmatic and expectorant effects, and the curative effect usually appears 2 ~ 4 days after taking the medicine, with slight side effects. However, the long-term curative effect is not good, and it is easy to relapse after drug withdrawal. There are 4 cases treated by increasing the dosage to 3ml each time for 2 days, and the effective rate is significantly improved. Remind you: centipede, a Chinese herbal medicine, comes from the Internet. Please follow the doctor's advice before using it.
