What shocking stories did you hear when you visited the ancient town?
It was the National Day of one year, and my friends and I drove to the ancient town of Zhuoshui in Qianjiang District, Chongqing. This ancient town is very old, with blue tiles, quadrangles and old walls. When I went, this place had just been developed and was rated as a 4A-level scenic spot. Everyone knows that the weather in Chongqing is very hot, and it is also very hot in Chongqing in October, but I walked into this ancient town.
National Day is the peak season for tourism, and most of the scenic spots are crowded with people, but there are not many people in this scenic spot, and it feels a bit desolate, especially when we walk into an alley. Just me and my three friends, we all feel that the alley is extremely quiet, and with the arrival of the night, the chill is getting closer and closer. Later, we casually found an inn to stay. After staying, we asked the manager why the ancient town was so deserted, and the manager told us the reason.
It turns out that the trade of Zhuoshui ancient town was very developed before, and it used to be an important trading town. However, after 1950s, this important trading town gradually declined. The vendors in the ancient town all left overnight, leaving only dilapidated houses and buildings, which looked bleak and vicissitudes. It is said that the reason why those vendors couldn't do business at that time was because the ancient town was the most shady place, which would attract a lot of unclean things, so the vendors left one after another.
After hearing this rumor, we couldn't help but get cold in the back and left in a hurry the next morning. We are still frightened at the thought of that alley.
