Dan Zhu, the son of Yao, was enfeoffed in Tang Dynasty, and Yu Yu, the son of Shun.
As the first king of Xia Dynasty, later generations called Yu Xia, and he became an equal with Fuxi and Huangdi, a sage emperor in the ancient legend era. The most outstanding achievement is that he has always been famous for controlling catastrophic floods, planning Kyushu and laying the foundation of the Xia Dynasty, and later generations are honored as Dayu. After his death, he was buried in Huiji Mountain (now Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province), and there are still Yu Temple, Yu Ling and Yu Temple. Since the Xia Qi Dynasty, most emperors have come to Yuling to offer sacrifices.
