Didn't Buddhism say that there is no master in causal reincarnation? Why do we have to go through trials to decide where to reincarnate in hell?

What laws does karma follow? 2009-08-2 1 2 1:48

Karma in Buddhist scriptures follows the law of causality, which roughly includes five laws:

First, good and evil karma will produce similar results.

In other words, just as "as you sow, you reap", there can be no chaos and no cause and effect.

Believe it or not, the iron law of karma is the basic law of the universe and life phenomena. The karma created by all beings must follow this unchanging law. Similar karma will produce similar karma, good karma will produce good karma, bad karma will produce bad karma, and mixed karma (black and white karma) will produce mixed karma of good and evil. If there is any karmic absence, there will be no karmic absence ... no mistakes, absurdity and discomfort.

The cause and effect of good and evil are mainly established according to the relationship between all beings. It is a nature to repay others with your own gains and losses. This property is similar to the physical law of "action and reaction". Karma has incredible power, called karma, which is one of the four incredible forces in the world (Buddha power, divine power, dragon power and karma) mentioned in Buddhist scriptures. Among the four mysteries, divine power and dragon power are not as big as karma. Buddhism says that "divine power is no match for karma." In the face of karma, no amount of avatar will fail. "The King of Southern Milanto" contains: King Milanto asked, which is bigger, supernatural power or karma. Long Jun Lohan replied: "In this incredible situation, the maturity of karma is very intense and intense." It's Foley. He can't die at will yet. As long as you are in the life and death world of all beings and create karma for good and evil, you can't get rid of the shackles of your own karma, and there is no escape for the pursuit of good and evil karma.

There is a story: there are four immortals, each with his own magical powers, who saw with their own eyes that they would be punished and die. They did their best, went up to heaven and earth, went up to the snow-capped mountains and went down to the bottom of the sea, but they still couldn't get rid of their karma (see the second and third grades of One Plus Agama). Good and evil karma will produce similar results, which also means that if a person does good and evil, his good and evil will produce their own results, and it is impossible to offset each other. Doing good is impossible to eliminate the evil consequences of bad karma, and no matter how big the bad karma is, it is impossible to eliminate the good results of good karma. The Buddha said that there is no karma, and the Buddha said:

"Lady, incompatible with sin, the republic. It needs convenience to make it possible to eliminate evil. "

It is said that good and evil have their own results and should not be confused. If we want to eliminate bad karma, we must use methods that can eliminate bad karma (learning wisdom, etc. ).

Second, it was self-inflicted, not because of him.

Since all beings are self-centered, there is a "vulgar self" who creates karma, and the result of their karma is determined by cause and effect, which can only be borne by the constant change of the subject of karma. The karma that all beings bear now must be the sense of karma in previous lives. Just like eating and sleeping, others can't replace it. Even the closest people, such as parents and children, can't bear each other's karma. They can only do it by themselves without complaining. There is a Buddhist saying in the Mud Plough Sutra: "If the father doesn't do well, the son doesn't suffer, and the son doesn't do well, the father doesn't suffer. Good will be rewarded, and evil will be rewarded."

The Buddha in "The Sutra of Infinite Life" warned the world: "Between heaven and earth, there are five distinct ways, good and evil are rewarded, misfortune and happiness are followed, and there is no generation."

Third, there are many kinds of karma, and there are five kinds of karma.

The karma created by all beings is bound to be rewarded. From the perspective of cause and effect, Buddhist scriptures have made various classifications, such as two causes, three causes, six causes and ten causes.

There are two reasons: more and more lust, such as thirst for salt water, the more you drink, the more thirsty you are. Such karma is called "habitual karma" or "similar karma". The cause of good and evil can produce the results of later generations. Such cause is called "cause" or "unfamiliar cause" (mature at different times and places).

Three reasons: birth reason (unfamiliar reason), habit reason, dependence reason (knowledge base, etc.).

Six reasons: See "Give up all". The cause that can help or not hinder the birth of karma is called "energy cause"; The reasons for interdependence are called "every reason"; The reason why the results are similar is called "similar reason"; At the same time, the corresponding reason is called "corresponding reason"; Ignorance, physical awareness, Jaken, seeing, doubt and other causes that can cause all kinds of troubles and puzzles are called "no cause"; The cause of missing good and evil without remembering it can be matured in five ways in the afterlife, which is called "different cause"

Ten reasons: See the yoga teacher's Theory of the Earth, Volume 5. Causality, observation, traction, birth, acceptance, beginning, differentiation, colleagues, contradiction and non-contradiction. It is worth noting that there are three reasons: initiation, violation and non-violation Karma, that is, the good karma with leakage in the three realms, can not only lead to the good karma with leakage in the self-boundary, but also lead to the good results with leakage in the other two realms. If many good deeds are easy to meditate, this is an indirect reason; Therefore, many Buddhist practitioners regard doing good as an aid to their practice, which is very reasonable. On the other hand, some people can't sit still for a long time because there is no good reason. Explanation of contradictory reasons and non-contradictory reasons: when will the karma be born? If there are obstacles, it will not be born for the time being.

There are five forces for the birth of various seeds:

1, current dharma fruit (or scholar fruit). Refers to the actual results that can be obtained in this world, such as secular study and economic activities, and the benefits of the results can be obtained in this world. According to Book IX of The Yoga Teacher's Theory of Land, two kinds of extremely good karma and five kinds of extremely bad karma should be rewarded by the secular law: extremely good karma means that Buddhist monks are sincere and correct, and under the guidance of Buddhism, they have done great good deeds, thus achieving longevity and happiness in this world; Five kinds of extremely serious evil deeds refer to five kinds of innocent crimes-killing father, killing mother, killing arhat, shedding Buddha's blood, breaking and merging monks (including robbing monasteries and slandering Mahayana Buddhism), and so on, and you can get secular evil results.

2, equal flow of fruit. It is the same cause and effect, just like the same river flowing one after another. For example, those who kill things like killing things, while those who practice like purity and kindness in giving.

3. Different ripe fruits. Karma matures in the afterlife and makes people sixth-rate. According to the Buddhist scriptures, people have 84,000 thoughts a day and a night, and each thought may bear fruit for a lifetime or even multiple fruits. A person's life has achieved countless careers. How can they suffer from different fruits after their death? In the Miscellanies of Abidharma. Choose the truth ",I replied:

"Those who are serious must be familiar with it first, or they will die before, or they will be scholars or beginners, and those who are unfamiliar will be familiar with it first."

It refers to four industries, namely, extremely heavy industries, dying industries (dying industries), long-term use industries (habitual industries) and industries that have accumulated in the past but failed to bear fruit and matured first after death (accumulation industries and reserve industries), which determine the first different mature fruit after death, that is, the destination after death. Among these four seeds, the most important one and the dying one have always been the key to decide where to go after death. "Karma Sutra" says: "Karma is like a scale, and the heaviest one gets it first." There is a cloud in the Buddhist book: "The last moment can win a long time."

4. increase fruit. Refers to the role of the main industry in its living environment. Buddhism believes that the living environment of all sentient beings, including region, times, climate, products, popularity and other conditions, is a part of karma, and the "positive report" corresponding to the subject is called "reported". If you do good, you will feel a good living environment and be born in a prosperous and civilized country. Doing evil will lead to a bad living environment. The Buddha said ten evils in the forty-third volume of "Add One Agama", which led to ten kinds of "foreign things decaying". Buddha said "karma is poor":

"If all sentient beings practice old habits in a heinous way, they will feel that foreign things are insufficient."

5. Give him fruit. It refers to the influence of a living person's deeds on his relatives, the people around him and even the society. As the saying goes, "one person gets the word, and chickens and dogs ascend to heaven." One person commits a crime, and the whole family loses face. All beings, especially human beings, are social people, living in the original relationship between human beings, society, nature and even the animal kingdom, and are interrelated. Five fruits say that the fruit of a person's karma can affect his living environment (society and nature), and the karma created by all people (common karma) feels that everyone can enjoy it together for the sake of survival. Accordingly, the prosperity, backwardness, civilization, social order, social psychological atmosphere and living environment of a nation, a country and a region are the fruits of the industry created by this social group, and the social group "takes it from itself".

Fourth, the fruit is mainly public, and the report is three.

Although karma is bound to bear fruit, "cause" is only one of the most important causal conditions, and it is necessary to have all the necessary conditions before it can bear fruit. Zhong Lun believes that a phenomenon has four conditions: cause (cause), margin (external environment), margin increase (other key conditions) and equilateral (continuous cause and effect).

The karma between ethics and society depends on the karma between industry subject and industry object. If the conditions are not met, there will be no result. Just like the seeds of plants, they don't necessarily germinate immediately. It will germinate, grow, blossom and bear fruit only within a certain period of time with suitable conditions such as temperature, humidity, soil and light.

The results of deeds created by all beings may not be seen in the present or this life, but may take a long time or even a very long time to mature. Karma should be observed from the long process of the whole cycle of life and death, not just the present and this life.

According to the Buddhist scriptures, karma can be divided into three forms according to the mature time:

First, today's newspapers (today's newspapers) will mature in the present and this life, and exist in large numbers in life. For example, if you study and work, you will see results in the moment (actual results); Believing in Buddhism will soon benefit both body and mind; Crimes that violate the law have been punished by law and spurned by everyone. The Buddha's words in China's Wisdom Sutra (Volume 53) say that those who commit evil will be scolded, despised, abandoned and punished by the national laws when they die, fearing to fall into evil ways, while those who do good will be respected, fearless and die happily and peacefully.

Second, karma, karma in this life, karma in the next life, the cause of karma in this life naturally goes back to previous lives. The Buddhist scripture says: "If you want to know the karma of past lives, the recipient in this life is;": To know the afterlife, the author of this life is. " This mainly refers to different ripening reasons and different ripe fruits. Unfamiliar fruit refers to the conditions that you can't choose when you are born, such as age, region, family, and natural endowments such as body, appearance, intelligence and personality.

There are seven words in The Yoga Teacher's Theory of Land: "Maybe there are all kinds of industries, just taking accommodation (the industry created by Su Shi) as the reason, just like having self-employed people to increase their strength leads to all kinds of evils and poor families."

It's just the karma of past lives. I was born with poor taste and poor family.

The third is post-reporting, which means that some industries created in this life or in the past have no karma, and it will take many generations, even in the very distant future, to have all karma and mature results. However, no matter how long it takes to be reported, even if it is robbed, as long as the seeds of karma have been planted, there will be consequences, and there is no reason not to report it. There is a sister-in-law in the book of great treasures. "Into the Fetal Tibetan Association" Who said:

"If you rob a hundred times, your work will not die, and your karma will be met at your own risk."

"Classic of French Sentences" said: "When a demon sees a blessing, his evil is not ripe, but when he is ripe, he is bitter and cool; Seeing the disaster to the truth, its goodness is not ripe, and it is blessed when it is ripe. "

Volume 9 of Mahayana Sutra says that although there are many phenomena of "doing evil without harvesting" and "if milk becomes cheese", the fruit will ripen one day, just like building a fire with ashes, it seems that there is no fire, and fools will only lead to the disaster of burning their feet. We can't just say that good and evil are not reported because we only see the phenomenon that good people suffer and bad people enjoy the good. Good people suffer, and bad things in their last lives are rewarded; The bad guy enjoys happiness, and he enjoys the reward of doing good in his last life. "One good turn deserves another, and one evil turn deserves another. It' s not that it' s not reported, but that the time has not arrived. " "Good and evil will eventually be rewarded, just for coming early and coming late."

Buddhism is also divided into fixed and indefinite. Starting a business means that the result has been decided and it is difficult to change. The trinity of Mahayana Sutra explains:

"If you do good and evil with one heart, you will feel confident and happy. If you swear to raise three treasures, it will be a famous career."

Establishing a career refers to a heavy career created by focusing on the center of gravity. After doing it, there is no regret. Good people make a vow to support Buddhists and Buddhists, while evil people do five jobs and kill people. There are three kinds of retribution for starting a business: one is that there must be consequences; Both of them are fixed, and the time of receiving newspapers has become a fixed number; Three reports are fixed and uncertain, and will be fixed when the time is ripe. Except for regular jobs, those who don't make a decision but repent afterwards are uncertain jobs and may not be rewarded. "You bo jie jing. Ye pin "is uncertain and can be divided into four categories:

"One of them is uncertain, the other is uncertain, the third is uncertain and the fourth is uncertain."

Of course, the uncertainty of the uncertain industry only means that the industry is weak, and it may be difficult to bear fruit because of other powerful obstacles. If the seeds of plants are not well matured or may be destroyed, they may not germinate and grow, which does not mean that the industry has no return.

Five, the industry is born from the heart, just turn away.

This is the fifth law of causality, which says that according to Buddhism, with the wisdom of breaking the essence of karma, the karma that has been caused can be changed and can be got rid of, which is the true meaning of Buddhist causality. If you only see the first four laws that are bound to have results, but you can't see them, you will lose the essence of Buddhism. The Buddhist words contained in Hua Yan Jing even say:

"I said very wisely, the correct world outlook, the principle of life and death, and the karma of karma can all be played. If a person is a human being, he will slander the Tathagata, and the Tathagata will also come! "

In the words of the Trinity Buddha in the Great Bodhisattva Sutra, people who think that there will be retribution in all walks of life, "You must know that people are not my disciples, but magic families!" Why? Because if all karma is reported, "there can be no Sanskrit practice and nirvana liberation."

Master Zong Kaba said in "Ode to the Second Master of Intensive Training": "Cause and effect are established, and all beings will not become Buddhas." If karmic cause and effect are determined to be irreversible, then all beings have endless karma from the beginning, only karma and endless life and death. It is impossible to get rid of the bondage of karma. At most, good deeds are born between man and nature, and when they are exhausted, they will fall back. Is it possible to cross the stream of life and death and reach the other side of nirvana? What's more, what goes around comes around is not a monopoly of Buddhism, but a secularism advocated by Brahmanism, which is not unique to Buddhism and is the core of the theory of death. Taking this as the highest truth, of course, belittles Buddhism and will be denounced as blasphemy. Therefore, many Buddhist scriptures preach that karma can be transferred, not decided. Mahayana sutra Volume III Buddha's words:

"Not all industries will have results. Although it is uncertain, it is not impossible."

"When you know that your homework has a definite result, you can get an uncertain result, or your business can be lighter, or your business can be lighter."

A wise man, with his wisdom, can make the extremely heavy industry in hell suffer lightly in this world, while a fool can make the secular light industry suffer again in hell. Moreover: "All sentient beings have many uncertain careers, and they decide to have several careers, so they practice the Tao with righteousness, and deciding to focus on their careers can make them feel light, and uncertain careers will not be rewarded."

The Dragon Tree Bodhisattva's "On the Ten Dwellings of Vipo Sha" said: Those who are great in wisdom and great in reward can "avoid going to hell and show contempt" although they do evil. For example, there is a famous man named Yang in the Buddhist scriptures, who dug up Moro's heresy and killed many people. Some of them tried to murder their own mother and the Buddha. They were so guilty that they fell into hell. However, after hearing the Buddha's statement, they gained great wisdom, repented and practiced, and appeared to prove Luo Han Guo.

In the third volume of Master Zong Kaba's The Broadest Theory of Bodhi Daoism, it is said that the Buddhist precepts say that "if there are hundreds of robberies, the work will not die", which means that those who lack Buddhist wisdom and do not know the way to quit their jobs will get the way to quit their jobs if they have great wisdom. "Although they will receive fruit, they are also clean." This is said in the essay Prajna Sutra.

The only way to change or even eliminate the evil karma that has been generated is to thoroughly understand the true nature of karma and practice Buddhism. In the classics, the wisdom of practicing Buddhism can change and eliminate bad karma, which is compared to "Akada medicine", a panacea for all diseases, and a "poison-removing drum" that is said to eliminate all kinds of poisons in one shot.

Why can karma disappear with wisdom? First of all, if you master the law of cause and effect with wisdom, you can use the law of cause and effect of "fruit needs many causes" to create conditions to hinder the birth of cause and effect, and then you can transfer cause and effect. Master Taixu, a modern monk, said in Realism:

"Buddha can't transcend and change in the law of causality, but if you know the law of causality, you can create good karma, gather good karma, and produce good fruits. Because it is not worthy of fate, there will be no result, so there may not be a result. Or stay away from it, or don't create a strong career, so that the fruit of this career can't be born for the time being, or it won't be born at all. "

If a person died in a previous life, he should have died in a car accident. If he pays special attention to the safety of riding a bus (far from helping his fate), develops bodhicitta according to Buddhism, and strives to protect his life and free him (don't create a strong cause), he can prolong his life and even live longer.

Secondly, according to the wisdom of Buddhism, cause and effect have no self-nature, and their nature is empty and reversible, just like a blank sheet of paper. If karma has its unchangeable self, then there is no reason to disappear and turn. Moreover, karma is created by the heart, and the heart is a thing. In the eyes of Buddhists, it is the most mysterious, incredible and powerful person in the world. Although the karma is big and incredible, it is not as incredible as the mind. Heart, invisible, has the wonderful ability to create everything, and has many incredible functions and wisdom. The Zen Sutra says that among the four elements of fire, water and wind, water is stronger than soil, fire is stronger than water, wind is stronger than fire, and the invisible heart is lighter than wind. Although the heart is big and empty, the wisdom heart that fits with nature is true and absolute, transcending time and space, immortal and beyond the causal boundary of cause and effect, and has great power to melt everything. "Yongjia Doug" cloud:

"If you prove the facts, no one can do it, but you will destroy the nose industry in an instant."

In addition, it has been proved that Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in reality have achieved great power to transcend all beings and eliminate their karma. Under the "blessing" of Buddha and Bodhisattva, all beings can reverse and eliminate the karma of evil deeds through worship, support, chanting, chanting Buddha and repentance. As for the reason that the career changes with one's heart, the exposition in the quotations of Zen master Wu Chu in the Qing Dynasty is quite incisive:

"The industry is made by the heart, and the industry turns at will. If you can't quit, you will be bound by the industry; If you don't follow your heart, you can bind your heart. In the past, there were certain things to report, and the industry could bind people's hearts. There is no certain reason for idealism. You can report it from the previous situation and change your job with your heart. If a person's just cause can bind his heart and report to the front for a certain time, but suddenly his mind is open-minded, and he practices, and his heart is integrated with Buddhism, then his heart can jump ship and report to the front, which is uncertain; If you are willing to jump ship, the current situation is unclear, the big heart suddenly retreats, and there is a loss in execution, then the industry will be bound, that is, the situation ahead is unclear. "

In Buddhist scriptures, there are not only the principles of turning and rewarding, but also various specific operation methods of turning and rewarding. The third volume of Introduction to Bodhi Daoism summarizes Mahayana's theory of four forces to clear karma:

1, breaking strength according to ability is repentance. In many Buddhist scriptures, it is said that people's inner confession of their mistakes and determination to repent have a powerful force to eliminate the obstacles of sin and transform their body and mind. "Add a Agama. "Horse Blood Tian Zi Product" contains Buddha's words:

"People have done terrible things, and their repentance has become meager, and their regrets have never slackened. The root of evil is always pulled out. "

"Guang Jin Ming Jing" Volume 2 said:

"Qian Qiu's evil deeds are extremely serious. If you can repent in your heart, if it is a felony, you will be eliminated. "

Repentance and punishment in the Forty-two Chapters Classic, if you get sick and sweat, you will gradually recover.

"Classic Collection" is a metaphor for repentance and sin removal, such as "a hundred years of dirty clothes, washed once a day, can get fresh and clean."

Karma confession is an indispensable part of Buddhist disciples' practice and is listed as one of the daily lessons for practitioners. Confessions are divided into confession and confession.

Repentance means sincerely confessing one's mistakes and confessions in front of monks or Buddha statues or people who have hurt oneself. "I dare not do what I haven't written, and I dare not hide what I have done." (Volume II of Guangjin Mingjing).

Mahayana's Practice Sutra of Avalokitesvara is about avalokitesvara's thoughts and methods of repentance. According to the warp knitting, there are many confession ceremonies in the Buddhist circles in the Han Dynasty, such as Fahua confession, Jinguang Ming Dow confession, pharmacist confession, Huayan confession, Tommy Dojo ritual confession, Liang Huangbao confession, compassionate water confession and great compassion confession. For Buddhist disciples to practice repentance according to law. Mi Cheng mainly observes the secret body of Vajrayana Bodhisattva, the general manager of Mi Fa, reciting its "hundred-character name" (incantation) and repenting, which is listed as one of the "four plus lines" required by Mi Cheng practitioners. There is a strict sign from confession to elimination of sin barrier, which is called "seeing the pure face of sin". According to Zhunti Dalagni Sutra, seeing the pure face of sin includes seeing or dreaming of Buddha, bodhisattva, light, listening to Buddha, spitting bad food, spitting or drinking milk and cheese, or dreaming of the sun and moon, Dacino, flame, buffalo, black man, monk and nun, milk tree, elephant, ox king, mountain, etc.

Rational confession, also known as "true confession" and "no confession", means that according to Buddhist truth, the concept of karma begins with the heart and is born of the delusion of the heart. Delusion is born according to life, that is, life is death, and there is no real self. It is empty, like the wind in the air, without end. The Practice Sutra of Bodhisattva Guan Puxian says:

"All karma is born from delusion. If you want to repent, sit up and read the truth, all sins are like frost and dew, and you can get rid of them tomorrow. "

This kind of confession is consistent with the absolute truth-the original emptiness, so the power to eliminate evil deeds is greater than repentance.

2. Current governance efforts. That is, practice various Buddhist methods that can cure karma, such as chanting Mahayana Sutra, observing the emptiness without self, holding a mantra with karma function, painting a pious and repentant Buddha statue, offering sacrifices to Buddha pagodas, respecting Buddha, holding the name of Buddha and Bodhisattva, etc.

In many Mahayana and Mahayana classics, it is said that this practice can eliminate karma and sin. For example, The Sutra of the Bodhisattva says that at six o'clock in the day and night, ten Buddhas are worshipped and Mahayana Sutra is recited. The first meaning is deep-space Buddhism, "saving millions of monks from life and death with a flick of a finger."

The Diamond Sutra says that reciting it can turn the felony of later generations into a light report that is despised by present people. "The Endless Sutra of Viewing Life" said that the dying man shouted the name "There is no Amitabha in the South" and eliminated the felony of 8 billion people robbing life and death. Viewing the Buddha-shaped pure land also eliminates sin. The Sutra of Great Compassion says to support avalokitesvara, with its name, "There is no limit to blessings and no limit to sins, and one person will get the country of Amitabha all his life", reciting the Bodhisattva's Great Compassion for seven times in one night, "eliminating the felony of Zimo's robbing the body of life and death", and even touching the wind from the devout reciter, "All evil deeds have been seriously hindered and destroyed, and what's more.

This statement can be seen everywhere in the Tanjing, and most of the true words of Buddha and Bodhisattva are said to have the effect of removing sin and obstacles. The divine power of this crime elimination method comes from the vows of Buddha and Bodhisattva corresponding to the truth and the merits achieved by robbing the Tao, as well as the karma and combination with the sincere admiration and repentance of all beings.

3. blocking force. It refers to strictly observing the Buddhist precepts aimed at "preventing evil", being cautious in words and deeds, not doing evil, pursuing good, and proving that you have repented and reformed with practical actions.

4. Press the stop force. It refers to converting to the three treasures of Buddhism, developing the "bodhi mind" of all sentient beings in Purdue and Purui, and relying on the great magic of the three treasures and the strong will of the bodhi mind, increasing the upper edge of extraordinary victory, thus playing the role of removing crimes and obstacles.

Although the obstacles to bad karma can be changed and eliminated at will according to the above methods, there must be strict conditions for changing and eliminating them. As mentioned above, things must be "mutually seen" in order to be effective; The reason for confession is to cultivate a clear mind and see the essence clearly, which is in harmony with the truth of emptiness. The proverb "Song of Yongjia" says:

"Karma is gone, it is empty. If not, it should be repaid. "

Point out the Buddha's nature from the heart and witness the emptiness, and its realm is quite deep and difficult to achieve. If you can't "die", you will be restricted by the law of cause and effect to repay Su Shi's debts. Industries that can be eliminated and transferred mainly refer to "uncertain industries" that have no determination to do and have regretted. "Youpo Jie Jing. Industry products "said:

"If the results are sometimes uncertain, the industry may change, or if the results are determined, the industry may change and will be affected now."

I didn't say major business could be exempted. According to the Buddhist scriptures, it is difficult to destroy the industry with the great power of the Buddha, but it is not absolutely indestructible. It's just hard to rule out the reason for the transfer. The tenth volume of Fa Wenhua Sentence, a wise master, said: "If he has a strong sense of machines, he can also change his career." I believe I have a deep chance and a great feeling, and I can change my career and stop it.

As for the various laws of repentance and elimination of crimes stipulated by Buddhism, although they are effective, the classics still emphasize repentance and purity after bad karma, which is quite different from paying attention to the protection from bad karma.

"On the Land of the Practitioner and the Land of the Bodhisattva" says that if the "fundamental precepts" (sexual precepts) of killing, stealing and fornication are broken, although the sins can be eliminated through profound repentance and the precepts can be accepted again, the current obstacles are manifested in the original place of the Bodhisattva.

Only the major evil deeds created before conversion to Buddhism and Buddhist precepts can be repented and purified, and the heavy deeds created after conversion to Buddhism and precepts can hardly be repented. The precepts of monks and nuns stipulate that major evils such as homosexuality are unrepentant (monks will not accept their repentance and must be expelled). This avoids the possible side effects such as "doing evil today, repenting and chanting tomorrow".

Appendix: Case Analysis of Wild Solitary Zen

There is a well-known case-solving (Zen story) of "Wild Solitary Zen" circulating under Zen Buddhism in China, which tells the teaching of whether karma can be changed. The story says: Zen master Baizhang Huaihai, a disciple of Huineng, the sixth ancestor of Zen Buddhism, often sees an unknown old man listening to his story in class every day and then dispersing with the monks. One day, after the monk dispersed, the old man stayed alone. Baizhang asked, "Who is standing there still?" The old man replied, "I once lived on this mountain as a great Zen master when Kayafo was born. Some people who study Zen ask,' Will a great yogi fall into causality? "I replied,' There is no cause and effect.' Because of the wrong answer, I suffered bad news and became a wild fox. I have been born for 500 years. Now please ask the monk to give me a correct answer. "Baizhang said," just ask. The old man asked, "Will people with perfect practice still have trouble?" "Baizhang replied," I don't know the cause and effect. The old man was deeply impressed and said, "Jin also got rid of the wild fox and lived behind the mountain. He asked to burn it according to the ceremony of burying the dead monk." Baizhang ordered Na Wei (the monk in charge of the monastery) to ring the bell to summon the monks. After fasting, he led everyone to the back hill to bury the dead monks. Sure enough, a dead fox was found in the back hill (see Quotations from Ancient Zunsu, Volume 1).

A great Buddhist monk, Kaya Buddha (Buddha born before Sakyamuni), has been practicing all his life because he answered his disciples' questions, and finally became a wild fox, which is really thought-provoking. Zen master's wrong answer is precisely an important theoretical question about karma in Buddhism: can you go beyond the law of causality and practice according to Buddhism without being bound by karma? What's wrong with Jackson's answer? If he is wrong, isn't it even more wrong that Zen master Huineng, a disciple of Yongjia Xuanjue, said that "no one can prove it, and the nose industry will be destroyed in an instant"?

According to the principle of Buddhism and the law of cause and effect, from the secular truth, it is an iron natural law, which can only be freed from obedience and cannot be surpassed at will. According to legend, after becoming a Buddha, Sakyamuni was also reported as a "golden gun horse" (injured by sawdust, the donor forgot to provide food and condescended to eat horse material). Although he has been proved to be an arhat, he was killed for repaying the life he owed in the past. It shows that karma is not so easy to surpass. The Sutra of Youposai says that if you practice according to Buddhism, only by practicing Anahan fruit (the third fruit) and fragrant Siraitia grosvenorii can you turn to the karma that future generations will pay attention to, and you will get early or lighter rewards in this life, but you will not get career rewards. It is said that overhaul pedestrians do not fall into the law of cause and effect, but it is generally affirmed that the law of cause and effect can be surpassed, ignoring the conditions of eliminating occupations, failing to unify good and evil (depending on occupations, there must be karma), and falling into the folk prescription and judgment of "taking empty space to be evil", which will lead people to indulge in idleness instead of practicing hard, make scholars' wisdom and eyes unclear, and create inferior occupations to promote Jaken's negative enlightenment, so they should fall into it. However, after all, good roots are not shallow. 500 years later, I want to see Zen master Baizhang and get rid of the present. Baizhang answered "I don't know the cause and effect". Although there is only one word difference from "I don't know the cause and effect", the word "I don't know" is very crucial. The law of cause and effect can certainly not be surpassed, and we can only know it truthfully. "I don't know" is different from ordinary people's "unknown", which means that we can see the cause and effect clearly, just as Zen master Dazhu Huihai said, "The present, the past and the future are connected. It is said that Maha kept his eyes on him, and the lion honored him, not because he didn't know what goes around comes around, but because he saw clearly with supernatural strength and wisdom, took the initiative to find the door of the creditor who had been complaining to his family for a long time, and accepted the news of his death with great satisfaction.

As for the theory that "Abai karma disappears in an instant" and "karma is empty when it is exhausted" in Song of the Right Path by Zen master Xuanjue in Yongjia, from the perspective of true meaning, the reality of the testimony (emptiness) has great power to eliminate Abai hell, which is completely in line with Buddhist teachings. Multiply the monastic order according to the size, and the practitioner looks at the reality. When he reached the second "forbearance position" of the "four plus lines" before he met the Tao, he had already turned, eliminated heavy industry and stopped falling into evil ways. Then, when he enters the Taoist position, he will break the karma of heresy forever, and will never fall into heresy such as hell again. "Confirmatory phase" and "music" of Zen generally refer to Tao, which, of course, omits the emphasis on business in A Bi's hell. If you can't achieve happiness, I'm sorry, but you still have to pay your debts according to the arrangement of causality. (Take eight forbearance, eight wisdom and sixteen hearts to see the Tao, because sixteen hearts are the place where new wisdom can see the truth. Mahayana bodhisattva, who became a monk at the beginning, finally joined the ranks with four good roots, and suddenly realized the troubles of two obstacles, which is called seeing the Tao)

Therefore, the case of "Wild Fox Zen" was valued by Zen Buddhism to punish those false enlightened people who didn't get the truth and ignored karma. Later, it was extended and became a derogatory term for "crazy Zen" without real enlightenment.
