Why did Yafan base choose Xiangshan?

First of all, the Blue Songshan District has four distinct seasons and a mild climate. The annual average temperature is 16.3 degrees, and the annual temperature is between 10℃ and 32℃. The mild climate and water temperature ensure that competitions and training can be held all year round.

Second, there are many wide, barrier-free and unconditional deep-water areas in Blue Songshan. The natural water depth (at low tide) is more than 3 meters on average, and the channel water depth (at low tide) is more than 6 meters on average. Sailing and windsurfing can be held simultaneously. The competition venues are all within the offshore 1 to 2 nautical miles, so there is no need for long-distance raids to meet the logistics support and life-saving rescue requirements for competitions and training.

3. The wind direction and wind speed in Lan Song sea area are stable all the year round, with an annual average wind speed of 4.5m/s and a monthly average wind speed of 4.0m/s to 5.0m/s, which is suitable for navigation.

Fourth, Xiangshan has a good foundation for sailing and windsurfing. As early as 1998, Zhejiang Sailing and Windsurfing Training Base (National Youth Sailing Training Base) settled in Lansongshan. Successfully held many national and provincial sailing (windsurfing) competitions, accumulated rich experience in running the competitions, and trained a large number of outstanding sailing (windsurfing) athletes.

At the same time, the blue Songshan sea area is about 3.3 nautical miles away from the international waterway, and about 3,000 meters away from the Damoshan 1000-ton and 3,000-ton waterways, with convenient navigation.

Lan Song's infrastructure is relatively perfect, and scenic spots have been developed. Nearby projects such as Damuwan Low-carbon Eco-city, Donghai Famous City and Sheraton Baishawan Hotel are under construction, with complete infrastructure such as roads, water, electricity and communication.

Xiangshan County is a county under the jurisdiction of Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, China. Located on the coast of the East China Sea, the southern edge of the Yangtze River Delta, the eastern coast of Zhejiang, between Xiangshan Port and Sanmen Bay, surrounded by the sea on three sides, the two ports embrace each other.
