What mountain range does Funiu Mountain belong to and what is its geographical environment?
The geographical environment of Funiu Mountain is east-west, which is the dividing line between the north subtropical zone and the warm temperate zone in China, and also the dividing line between the Palaearctic zone and the Oriental zone in China fauna. It is also the mosaic zone of plants in North China, Central China and Southwest China, and belongs to the transition zone from warm temperate deciduous broad-leaved forest to north subtropical evergreen deciduous mixed forest. The forest vegetation in the area is well preserved, with a forest coverage rate of 88%. It is a well-preserved natural broad-leaved forest in the north subtropical and warm temperate regions. The special geographical location, complex and diverse ecological environment conditions and less human interference have preserved the rich biodiversity resources in this area. There are 2879 species of vascular plants in the region, including 37 species endemic to China and 59 species single genus, and 32 species of national key protected wild plants such as Cercidiphyllum japonicum and Cercidiphyllum japonicum. Among the wild animals, there are 62 species of mammals, accounting for 86% of the total number of mammals in Henan Province, 2 13 species of birds, accounting for 7 1% of the total number of birds in Henan Province, and more than 3,000 species of insects. There are more than 50 species of wild animals listed as national key protection, such as leopard, musk deer and giant salamander. Funiu Mountain is also the birthplace of some tributaries of the Yangtze River, Yellow River and Huaihe River, and it is an important water conservation forest area.

Funiu Mountain World Geopark in Nanyang, China is located in the core of the East Qinling orogenic belt in the central mountain range of China. The park is integrated on the basis of Baotianman National Geopark, Nanyang Dinosaur Egg Fossil Group National Nature Reserve, Baotianman National Forest Park and World Biosphere Reserve, Funiu Mountain National Geopark and Nanyang dushan jade National Mine Park.
