In order to improve the service performance of furnace door materials and achieve the purpose of prolonging service life. The refractory castable used for furnace door should be considered from the aspects of density, surface and thermal shock resistance, and the weight should not be too heavy.
If ordinary castable is used, the castable with large weight and low density has low thermal shock resistance. Thermal shock resistance is a kind of high-density castable, but the material density of blast furnace door is too heavy to solve the substantive problem. The castable with low density is not wear-resistant and cannot resist thermal shock. If semi-lightweight castable is used at the oven door, it can not only solve the weight problem, but also have good thermal shock resistance and resist the damage caused by frequent opening of the oven door.
Then the furnace door is made of light mullite castable, which is light in weight, resistant to thermal shock and metal corrosion under the condition of frequent door opening. After practical use, the actual service life is longer than that of the original high alumina brick or heavy castable, the consumption is reduced by 25 -30% respectively, and the service life will be prolonged by 2. 1 time.
The use of light mullite castable has achieved good results, reducing the consumption and weight of the oven door and reducing the wear of the oven door when it is frequently opened.
Adding a certain proportion of flint clay into the matrix of light mullite castable can not only reduce the price of castable, but also improve the thermal shock resistance, reduce the use cost of oven door and prolong the service life of oven door. It is a good choice to use light mullite castable.
