"Little Tadpole Looking for Mom" is based on the fairy tale of the same name created by Fang and Sheng, and adapted from the image of fish and shrimp created by painter Qi Baishi. It is 1960 Shanghai Animation Film Studio's first ink cartoon in China. Sheng Tewei, Qian Jiajun and Cheng Tang are directors, and Fang and Sheng are screenwriters.

The film tells the story of mother frog leaving after giving birth to tadpole eggs. Tadpole eggs slowly grow tails and become a group of tadpoles. After father shrimp described his mother's characteristics, they decided to go to his mother. Along the way, they mistook goldfish, crabs, turtles and catfish for mothers. Finally, the tadpoles finally found their mother.

Evaluation:

1960, the first ink cartoon "Little Tadpoles Looking for Mom" was born, in which the shapes of small animals were taken from Qi Baishi's works, and a group of little tadpoles were just a group of ink dots. However, the films show delicate feelings and the charm of China's landscape paintings with the changes of their swimming formation and the fast and slow rhythm.
