Trees are plants with wooden trunks and branches that can live for many years. Generally, trees are called collapsible trees. The main trunk is the same as the plant. The branches are higher from the ground and can form a crown. There are many kinds of trees. The four main parts of a tree are roots, trunk, branches, and leaves. Tree roots are generally underground, and there are many roots at the base of a tree.
The trunk part is divided into five layers. The first layer is bark. Bark is the surface layer of the tree trunk, which protects the tree and prevents disease invasion. Underneath the bark is the phloem. This layer of fibrous tissue carries sugars down from the leaves. The third layer is the cambium layer. This layer is very thin and is the growing part of the trunk from which all other cells originate.
The fourth layer is sapwood. This layer transports water from the roots to all parts of the tree. This layer is usually lighter in color than the heartwood. The fifth layer is the heartwood. Heartwood is the old sapwood, and the two are collectively called xylem. Most of the tree trunk is heartwood.
Advice and suggestions:
Human’s unreasonable development and utilization of natural resources is the main cause of ecological imbalance. Indiscriminate deforestation, deforestation, land reclamation, and overgrazing will destroy forests and pastures, cause soil erosion, land desertification, and frequent sandstorms. Unreasonable development and occupation of land have reduced the area of cultivated land.
Now that we understand the many benefits of afforestation, we must conscientiously fulfill our obligation to plant trees and lay the foundation for creating our beautiful home. Afforestation not only has very important environmental benefits for human survival, but also has huge economic benefits for human production and life.
