Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (Guangdong University of Foreign Studies), referred to as Guangdong Foreign Studies University, is located in Guangzhou, known as the "Flower City". The school was selected into the "2011 Plan" and the "Asia University Student Exchange Collective Action Plan" (Asia Campus Plan), it is one of the 19 universities in the world that provides high-end translation talents to the United Nations, one of the founding units of the National International Economics and Trade Discipline, a member of the International Federation of University Translation Schools, and an international talent training and foreign exchange institution in South China. It is a key university in Guangdong Province that specializes in language and culture, foreign economics and trade, and international strategic research.
Guangzhou is located on the subtropical coast, with the Tropic of Cancer passing through its central and southern parts. It has an oceanic subtropical monsoon climate, characterized by warm and rainy weather, abundant light and heat, long summers and short frost periods. The annual average temperature is 20-22 degrees Celsius, making it one of the largest cities in China with the smallest annual average temperature difference. The hottest month of the year is July, with the average monthly temperature reaching 28.7°C. The coldest month is January, with the average monthly temperature ranging from 9 to 16°C. The average relative humidity is 77%, and the annual rainfall in the urban area is approximately 1,720 mm. Throughout the year, April to June is the rainy season, July to September is hot with many typhoons, October, November, and March are moderate in temperature, and December to February is the cool winter. The water and heat are at the same time throughout the year, and the rainfall is abundant, which is conducive to plant growth. It is a "Flower City" with evergreens and colorful flowers all year round.
