During the reign of Emperor Gaozong of the Southern Song Dynasty, Shao Bo, the governor of Meizhou County, was considered an upright official. At that time, there was a "hacker" in the local area (I mean he was engaged in underworld business) who was good at providing private intelligence. He often used evidence of those in the officialdom to violate laws and disciplines to blackmail the parties involved and gain benefits for himself. Since "everyone has a dirty little secret" and secrets are valuable, this black man has almost done it all in both black and white. However, the hacker's tactics did not work when it came to Governor Shao. Sheriff Shao has a bottom line as an official, and he doesn't have any dirty information, so he can at most make false concessions to the hacker, but he doesn't really help him realize his benefits. Hackers are annoyed.

Of course Sheriff Shao refused to confess to Yang. Yang was not unambiguous. He first carried out a peripheral assault and beat to death a subordinate named Deng Anmin who was under the command of Shao County Governor. He even stripped the body naked and showed it to him. Ah, a scholar cannot be killed but cannot be humiliated. How can he be humiliated even if he is killed? Yang's ruthless move caused Shao's defense to collapse completely: "Enough is enough, I will agree to whatever you say." So this case was tried vigorously for more than ten months, involving hundreds of local officials and people, and even a dozen people were killed directly during the trial.

Perhaps there are too many unjust cases waiting to be overturned. This case has been tried in the underworld for another three or four years. One day, Shao, who was idle at home, finally saw Deng Anmin coming and told him, "The injustice has been redressed and the prison has been set. The public must come to prove it. The public is innocent." He also asked Shao to sign the document with his monogram. So six days later, Shao also died - and went to the underworld to bear witness. At this point, the whole story reaches its final twist: the guilty and innocent all die.
