Brief introduction of Huizhou
Huizhou is a prefecture-level city in Guangdong Province, located on the east bank of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, with Luofu Mountain as its back and Daya Bay as its south. Dongjiang meanders 100 kilometers, which is one of the central cities in the Pearl River Delta. Shanwei in the east, Nanhai in the south, Shenzhen in the southwest, Dongguan in the west, Guangzhou in the west, Shaoguan in the north and Heyuan in the northwest. The terrain is northwest, high in northeast, and inclined to Dongjiang in the middle. The temperature is high all year round, with high temperature and little rain for many days in autumn and winter.
Huizhou is the central city in the middle and lower reaches of Dongjiang River, at the intersection of Hakka culture, Guangfu culture and Chaoshan culture. Various cultures blend with each other and are eclectic. Huizhou was an important town in eastern Guangdong during Sui and Tang Dynasties. It has been the political, economic, military and cultural center and commodity distribution center of Dongjiang River basin for more than 1,400 years. In ancient times, there was a famous county in Lingnan and a gateway to eastern Guangdong, referred to as Goose City.
