What are the climatic characteristics of Huizhou?
Dongjiang River and its tributary Xizhijiang River, one of the three major water systems in Guangdong, cross the territory, and the reservoir capacity exceeds/kloc-0.6 billion cubic meters, which is the main water source in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
The geotectonic unit where Huizhou is located belongs to the South China Fold System. The formation lithology is diverse, mainly magmatic rocks such as granite, and the geological structure folds and faults are developed. The fault structures are mainly distributed in the northeast direction, mainly including Luofushan fault zone, Zijin-Boluo fault zone and Lianhuashan fault zone. The diversity of lithology forms a variety of soils. Metamorphic rocks are mainly distributed in Lianhuashan fault zone, the northern part of Zijin-Boluo fault zone and the foothills of Luofu Mountain. The developed soil is generally above 1m, with fine texture, high clay content and rich phosphorus and potassium nutrients. Red sand shale is mainly distributed in Boluo and Huidong, and consists of gravel, sand and clay with different particle sizes. The soil layer is generally shallow. River alluvial deposits are distributed all over the country, with deep soil layer, uniform texture, high clay content and soil nutrients, and wide adaptability. Coastal sediments are mainly distributed in Huidong and Huiyang along the coast, with deep soil layers, rich nutrients and high potential fertility, but high salt content, and some may be harmed by acid and alkali.
