Can I turn on the air conditioner during thunder?
It can be turned on, but it is best not to turn it on.
In the design process of the air conditioner, a "lightning protection" board is designed on the main control panel. Most of the signal communication lines between the indoor and outdoor units of the air conditioner use shielded signal lines. The air conditioner has relatively high Good grounding, etc. are all to ensure that the air conditioner can operate normally during thunderstorms, certain fluctuations in power supply voltage, or electromagnetic interference near the air conditioner.
However, due to the presence of lightning during thunderstorms, it is easy to cause large instantaneous fluctuations in the power supply voltage of the air conditioner. If lightning causes excessive fluctuations in the power supply of the air conditioner, it may cause the air conditioner's electronic control components to malfunction. Abnormalities such as burning occur. If possible, it is best to disable the air conditioner during thunderstorms and cut off power to the air conditioner. If you insist on continuing to use it, there is a risk, but the risk is not great.
It is recommended to turn off the power to the air conditioner when it is not used for a long time to prevent possible damage to the air conditioner during thunderstorms.
Notes on using air conditioners:
1. 26℃ is the most suitable. Do not adjust the indoor temperature too low, and the difference between the indoor temperature and the outdoor temperature should not exceed 8 degrees. Generally, it is most suitable to adjust the air conditioning temperature to about 26°C, because the most suitable temperature for people in an air-conditioned room is 25-26°C. If you are a weak person, the air conditioner temperature should be raised by about 2 degrees.
2. The air conditioner blows upward. When turning on the air conditioner, it is best to adjust the air conditioning wind to blow upward in order to prevent the cold wind from blowing downward and directly onto the person's body, causing people to catch a cold. If you sit close to the air conditioner, do not turn your back to the air conditioner, because the cold wind blowing from behind will cause damage to the person's back and waist.
3. Turn on the air conditioner 10 minutes after entering the house. Some people turn on the air conditioner as soon as they get home. In fact, this approach is inappropriate. You should rest for a while and wait for the body temperature to drop before turning on the air conditioner. It is recommended to turn on the air conditioner 10 minutes after entering the house.
