Hakka enclosed houses usually appear in Hakka settlements in mountainous areas. They are rare in Chaoshan settlements with relatively flat terrain. It is speculated that the locals were originally Hakka immigrants. Because they lived together in the Chaoshan cultural area, they gradually became Assimilated.

When the Yuanlian Round Building was built, even the locals are not sure. It is a common theory that it is more than 500 years ago. Because there is a lion's head relief on the gate of the enclosed house, the locals generally call it "Lion Head Village".

The architectural complex in De'anli is in the pattern of "a hundred birds facing the phoenix". This pattern is the most complex and spectacular among the traditional houses in Chaoshan.

This building complex is arranged regularly and in a well-proportioned manner, a bit like an ancient imperial palace. It is known as the "small folk palace", coinciding with the saying "Chaoshan villas, from the imperial palace", "cuo" refers to the house. mean.

The De'anli architectural complex has a history of 150 years. Although the walls are mottled, they are well preserved and the grandeur of that year can be seen from the appearance.

The ancestral hall is the most magnificent and exquisite building in De'anli, occupying the best location in the village.

Yuemei Ancient Village is located in Dongyuan Town, Jiexi County. Although it is a "provincial historical and cultural village", it is the least known to the public among the three unpopular attractions.

Yuemei Ancient Village also has the pattern of hundreds of birds facing the phoenix, but the village has been basically "empty of people", and the ruined walls exude a strong sense of vicissitudes of life, like an abandoned movie set.

The village is very quiet, and sometimes it is rare to see a tourist throughout the day. For outsiders who want to understand Chaoshan culture, this is a good place.
