Hand-made autumn works
First, the leaves are playing with flowers.
1. Pick up the beautiful leaves you like outside and try to choose the leaves with fresh and bright colors. Exposed to air for too long after picking, it is easy to wither. You can put it in an empty box first, and put some wet tissues in it, so as to moisturize the leaves. This method can only relieve the pain, and it is best to treat it immediately after taking it off.
2. Put the leaves flat on the paper towel. Paper towels can absorb water from leaves. After being straightened, it can be sandwiched in a book or a special flower board. You can take it out in about a week. If the leaves are dry, it means they are ready. It is convenient to use book clips, but it is easy to distort the color of leaves, and the more you put them, the easier it is to fade.
Second, the vein bookmark
1, select the blade. Choose leaves with thick veins. Choose leaves in late summer or autumn when they are fully mature and begin to age.
2. Boil the leaves with 10% sodium hydroxide solution. Boil the prepared lye in a stainless steel pot or an iron pot, then add a proper amount of washed leaves and boil. At this time, gently rotate the blade with a glass rod or tweezers to prevent overlapping and heat evenly. Open the window for ventilation, because there is a bad smell when boiling leaves.
3. Cook for about 5 minutes. After the leaves turn black, take a leaf and put it in a plastic basin filled with clear water. Wash it carefully with clear water. Note: Do not hold the leaves directly with your hands in this operation, in case sodium hydroxide corrodes your hands. Take and place with tweezers or clips.
4. When the residual lye on the leaves is washed clean, take it out, lay the leaves flat on a piece of glass, gently brush off the rotten mesophyll on both sides of the leaves along the vein direction with a small tube brush or a soft-haired old toothbrush, and rinse with small-flow tap water while brushing until only veins are left.
5. Soak the vein in hydrogen peroxide for 24 hours to achieve bleaching effect. Brush the pulse sheet, rinse it, and put it on the glass sheet to dry. Air-dried to a semi-dry and semi-wet state, coated with all kinds of dyes, and then sandwiched in old books and newspapers, and then taken out after absorbing moisture, it can be used as veins bookmarks.
