How long will it rain in Chengdu?
Chengdu has a subtropical monsoon climate, with hot and rainy summers, cold and dry winters, short spring and autumn seasons and fast transition. The rainy season in Chengdu is concentrated in June-August (there is more night rain), but it is mostly heavy rain showers, with less rain in spring, mainly cotton rain. Chengdu is located in the southwest of China, the west of Sichuan Basin and the hinterland of Chengdu Plain, with flat terrain, vertical and horizontal river networks, rich products and developed agriculture. It belongs to subtropical monsoon humid climate and has been called "Land of Abundance" since ancient times.
Another notable feature of Chengdu's climate is humid air. Therefore, although the temperature is not high in summer (the highest temperature generally does not exceed 35℃), it looks sultry. The average temperature in winter is above 5℃, but it is very cold because of cloudy days and humid air. The rain in Chengdu is concentrated in July and August, and there is less rain and less ice and snow in winter and spring.
