Diankou Town is under the jurisdiction of Zhuji City, Zhejiang Province (Zhuji City is managed by Shaoxing City).
In 1956, it was established as Diankou Township. In 1958, it became a Five-Star Commune. In 1961, the Five Star Commune and Zhidiankou Commune were analyzed. In 1983, Diankou Commune was renamed as Diankou Township. In 1985, Diankou Township was removed and Diankou Town was built. Diankou Town is located in the north of Zhuji City, connected to Shaoxing in the east and Xiaoshan in the north. It is less than 40 minutes’ drive from downtown Hangzhou and Xiaoshan International Airport, with an area of 175.2 square kilometers.
Diankou Town is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with terrain high in the southeast and low in the northwest.
