What effect will it have on the car if you forget to release the brakes while driving?
As a person who has experienced this kind of event personally, I am deeply impressed by it. Many people make the mistake of forgetting to release the brakes. Even decades-old drivers occasionally use the handbrake to drive. I've done this before.
It was a summer night, my friend came back from other places, and I drove to pick him up. After receiving him, I was probably carried away by the joy of reunion after a long separation and forgot to put down the brakes. At that time, it started several times and failed. At first, I thought it was the wrong gear, but after careful inspection, I found that there was nothing wrong. Later, I stepped on the accelerator and finally got off the bus and started successfully, but the car was "fleshy" and seemed to be pulled by something.
In desperation, I called the garage, and they asked me to do a simple car inspection, but I still couldn't find the problem, so I had to keep driving back, about five kilometers. My friend wanted to go to the toilet, so I parked my car near the public toilet. As soon as the door opened, I smelled the burning of rubber. I went to check and found that the handbrake was not released.
Then I went to the garage and asked the mechanic. He said that occasionally, the problem is not big, but it will aggravate the wear and tear of some brake parts and will not directly affect the performance of the car. However, I have a long memory because of this. Every time I start the car, I want to see if the handbrake is put down.
