A touching story that happened in Zhenta?

Vibration tower, also known as floating map and Buddha map. After Buddhism was introduced into China from India, the stupa stood on the land of China, integrated with the traditional architecture of China, and formed a Buddhist architectural culture with national style. The original function of stupa is to serve Buddhist relics and is the object of worship of Buddhists. Pagodas often become the main buildings of temples. Later, with the rise of Buddhist temples, their importance gradually decreased, but it did not lead to the disappearance of pagodas. On the contrary, China gardens with rich contents attract pagodas, which are often used as the main scenes in gardens.

Anqing Zhenfeng Tower is located in Yingjiang Temple, Anqing City, Anhui Province, on the bank of the Yangtze River. Built in the second year of Qin Long in the Ming Dynasty (1568), it was originally called Wanfo Pagoda, also known as Yingjiang Temple Pagoda, and later called Zhenfeng, which means "revitalizing the style of writing". Because it is 82.74 meters high, there is no tower of ancient pagodas along the Yangtze River, so it is called "the first tower of the Yangtze River". "Don't look at the tower after Anqing" is a high praise for the Tik Tok Tower. Now Zhenta has become a symbol of Anqing in a sense.

It is said that Anqing was unpopular in ancient times. A master said that Anqing's feng shui atmosphere was swallowed up by the Yangtze River. As long as a tower was built on the riverside, Anqing could hold its head high. Later, this vibrating tower came into being.

After the vibration tower was built, troubles followed. There has been a saying in Anqing workshop: "Nanjing can't even play drums, and Anqing won't be a magistrate of Peng." It is said that there was a flood every year in ancient Nanjing. Someone borrowed a golden basin from a rich man and threw it into the water, thus "saving the town" from the flood. Because the rich man asked for the return of the golden basin after the fifth watch drum, Nanjing stopped knocking the fifth watch drum to calm the flood.

The same version of the story has different interpretations in Anqing. Because the terrain of Anqing used to be like a ship, and the vibrating tower was like the mast of the bow. Without sails, Anqing, a big ship, would stay here forever. But one year, a man named Peng came to be the magistrate, and Peng was homophonic with Fan. Once the sail is hung on the mast, it will flow with the water.

Anqing people, of course, don't want their hometown to go with the flow, so they put two big anchors weighing about 3 tons in front of the vibration tower, which are still placed in front of the gate of Yingjiang Temple.

The vibrating tower is a guest room tower with brick-concrete structure. The plane of the tower is octagonal, with a height of 72 meters and a lower perimeter of 40 meters. There are stone tablets around to record the history of building the tower. Ranked second among the national 108 masonry towers. The foundation of the tower is made of one-meter-high bluestone, surrounded by white stone railings, supported by 26 columns, and covered with an octagonal roof at the top. This cloister is wide and elegant. At the top of the attached steps, it is closed as an octagonal platform, forming a low base of Xumi Mountain, surrounded by white stone railings. There are octagonal stone fences on the second to seventh floors for tourists to visit around. The door mechanism of each floor is changeable, finely carved and with different patterns. In the center of the tower is an octagonal melon skin headspace hall, and the niches on each floor are symmetrical on both sides. There are one to five small niches, which are connected by seams, leading directly to the passage in the tower and the top of the empty hall, so that the Buddha lamp will not go out. There is an arch in Tarnum. Visitors can climb 168 steps to reach the top of the tower. The tower gate at the top of the tower is made of huge gourd.

The vibrating tower * * * has seven floors, and six stone tablets are embedded in the tower at the bottom to record the maintenance of the vibrating tower every time. Starting from the first floor, there are eight upturned cornices on each floor, and the priests of the wind are hung on the cornices. Every time the river wind blows through the priest of the wind, it makes a jingle, and the top of the tower is also equipped with an Aquarius-shaped spire, which is what we usually call a pagoda. According to the master in the temple, the vibrating tower was built layer by layer with indigenous methods. There were no scaffolding at that time. Every time a tower is built, only an earth barrier is built around the tower, and a second floor can be built on this basis. The fourth floor of the tower is embedded with more than 600 colored brick carved Buddha statues, so the vibrating tower is also called "Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda". There are 5/kloc-0 tablets in the tower and a stone fence outside. Boarding the tower and looking out, you can have a panoramic view of the majestic Longshan, the vast Yangtze River and the whole city. Modeling and craft skills, with obvious characteristics of the times, are extremely spectacular. "Tower Shadow Across the River" is one of the "Eight Scenes of Anqing".

The monks in the temple don't know much about Zhenfeng Tower, but the vendors selling incense sticks in the temple do. They told a story: In the early days of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, when the Japanese army invaded Anqing, the literature and history materials collected by the provincial library were transported to the Chinese Temple in Huashan, Tongcheng, and soon the Japanese army invaded Tongcheng. Seeing that these books and materials were in danger of being lost, the abbot of Yingjiang Temple led dozens of monks to sneak back to Yingjiang Temple by boat overnight.

After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, when the Provincial Museum of Literature and History took out precious literature and history materials from the tower, it found that they were actually intact. Because of this, the national government also issued a commendation order at that time, calling Zhenfeng Tower "Document Tower". This commendation meeting was destroyed by the Red Guards during the Cultural Revolution.

On May 6, 2003, KLOC-0 issued a special ordinary postal seal for Anqing Vibration Tower. Mr. Bai, a national advanced philatelist and director of Anhui Postal Association, has made great efforts to collect Anqing Zhenfengta postal universal seals in recent two years, reaching more than 400 different varieties and nearly 5,000 Anqing Zhenfengta postal universal seals.

According to historical records, this tower was renovated five times in Ming and Qing Dynasties after its completion, and it was also renovated in the seventh year of the Republic of China (A.D. 19 18).

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, there were three repairs. The last time was May 1993 to May 1995. After 24 months of extraordinary restoration, the incomplete towers and fences have been restored, and the old ones have been restored as before. * * * Copy more than 800 brick-carved Buddha statues, stone-carved Buddha statues 160, and the original Buddha statues in Ming Dynasty * * reached 1200. Mr. Zhao Puchu, Chairman of the Chinese Buddhist Association, personally named the "Zhenta". The restored ancient pagoda is radiant and becomes an important symbol of Anqing ancient city.
