History of Guichao Town
At the end of the Tang Dynasty and the beginning of the Song Dynasty, Guichao and street posts were set up. During the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty, Tufuzhou was moved to Guichao. Tusi Shen once developed more than 3,000 households in the market town and ruled for more than 600 years. Jiuzhai Village under its jurisdiction is the seventh village in the Seven Villages and Jiulong Mountains. It was once one of the centers where the Red Army opened up the guerrilla base area in the Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi border areas in the 1930s. According to legends and natural characteristics, there are eight major scenic spots in Guichao and nearby areas, namely Longquan Spraying Blood (Longtou Well), Elephant Trunk Rolling Lake (Old Street), Yuzhu Wandiao (Old Street), and Shitai Watching the Moon (Mo Nong). ), high slope breeze (Fengfengpo), Yanhe drizzle (Yanhe), golden seal clouds (Houlong Mountain), hundreds of birds courting the king (Lida Niaowang Mountain), green and lush almond trees along the Puting River, The graceful phoenix-tailed bamboos, the charming and tranquil fields, and the elegant and simple bamboo buildings form a unique pastoral scenery of Zhuangjia.
