Why are all the houses in our country facing south? Why is there such a layout?
The habit of "sitting north facing south" in China is also scientifically justified. China is located in the northern hemisphere, most of which is in the northern temperate zone. The sun rises from the east to the south and sets in the west. In winter, the height angle of the sun is small, and the doors and windows of the house face south, which can let more oblique sunlight into the room, thus increasing the indoor temperature. In summer, the height angle of the sun increases, and the light in doors and windows is relatively less, thus keeping the room cool. Then, most of China is located in the East Asian monsoon region, and the houses all face south. In midsummer, you can avoid the direct sunlight in the hottest afternoon, and in winter, you can avoid the cold wind in the northwest, which plays a role in preventing cold and keeping warm.
