The formation, development, and evolution of architectural Feng Shui
The formation of architectural Feng Shui should start with Yin and Yang. Yin and Yang are the regular changes in nature. Our ancestors evolved from observing the laws of nature to living in harmony with nature and living in harmony with it. Its initial functional consideration was just a design to respond to weather changes. In ancient times, weather changes directly affected the safety and comfort of living as well as the reproduction of ethnic groups. Of course you can start from the Stone Age, but at first it was just the accumulation of experience for the purpose of preserving one's own life. For example, being close to a water source is convenient for drinking and washing, facing south can achieve the functions of drying and keeping warm... etc. They all have the same functions as animal nests. Just like how does a bird know the location and direction of building a nest? It's just the accumulation of experience. Slowly, the nest has shifted from function to display (of course, a beautiful nest is more likely to win the favor of the opposite sex. It must have an indescribable and magical effect on the propagation of the population.). In fact, they are all slowly formed from the accumulation of experience and statistics. Of course, there are some practical tips included. Strictly speaking, the development and inheritance of architecture should begin with mathematics. Because mathematical quantification allows all buildings to be inherited and copied. Of course, the selection of materials, the evaluation of the building site (to avoid floods and beasts, etc.) and the initial dependence on the sun (yin and yang)... are all interconnected with each other for unique architecture and Feng Shui. (To put it bluntly, it’s just for a simple reason...to live, and then evolve from living to living well, and of course, in the end, living will be more exciting...).
The current discussion of architectural Feng Shui involves architectural styles and layout design, the sun, moon, stars, five elements, Bagua, mountains, rivers, internal and external affairs in the hydrological environment...etc. Eastern architecture, when it comes to environmental Feng Shui, is different from the simplicity of Western architecture.... To put it bluntly, the evolution of architectural Feng Shui is just a microcosm of the law of survival. However, the topic is very broad and deep, so I cannot list them all below. I apologize for the rough answer.
