Changes in Fusui County, Guangxi
Fusui County was the residence of the ancient Luoyue ethnic group before the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. It was established in the Qin Dynasty and belongs to Guilin County. In the Han Dynasty, it belonged to Yulin and Hepu counties.
In the Sui Dynasty, it belonged to Xuanhua County, Ningpu County (now Yongning).
In the early Tang Dynasty, Jixiyuan Prefecture was established in Leizhou Village (now Tuolu Town, Jiangzhou District, Chongzuo City).
It leads the three counties of Luohe, Luodan and Gurin and Huangchengdong.
In the twelfth year of Zhenguan (638 AD), Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, Li Chong, the Duke of Qingping, was the envoy of Jiedushi, and Jisi Longzhou was established in today's Xinning Town (originally named Ludong). It has jurisdiction over six local counties. It is under the jurisdiction of the Yongzhou Protectorate.
During the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty, Sitong Tuzhou was established in Sitong Village, present-day Dongdong Town; at the same time, Luolongtu County was established in present-day Dongmen Town.
In the sixth year of Dali, Jixiyuan Prefecture was restored and placed under the jurisdiction of the Annan Protectorate.
From the period of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms to the late Song Dynasty, Wuli Tu County was established in Leizhou Village, Tuolu Town, Jiangzhou District, Huayang Tu County was established in Mumin Village, Changping Township, and Chonghe County was established in present-day Xinning Town. Shashuidong was built in the village, Wucongdong was built in Qudu Village, Quli Town, and Zhongzhou Tuzhou was built in Jiucheng Village, Dongmen Town.
In addition to retaining the original Sitong Tuzhou and Tuoling Tu counties in present-day Zhongzhong Town, Yongkang Tu County was established in the present Jiuxian Village and Luoyang Tu County was established in the present Sanshao Village.
At the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, it was changed to Huayang Cave. Wulitu County governed Huayang, Shashui and Wucong Cave.
In the eighth year of Chenghua, Yongkang Tu County was renamed Tongzheng County, and was soon changed back to Yongkang County and placed under the jurisdiction of Taiping Prefecture.
During the Jiajing period, Wuli County came under the jurisdiction of Nanning Prefecture. Nanning Prefecture converted Wuli, Huayang, Shashui, and Wu Congdong into four capitals.
In the sixth year of Longqing (1572 AD), the first, second and fourth maps of the original Ruhe County (now Suwei Town, Yongning County) were merged with the four capitals of Wuli, Huayang, Shashui and Wucong. Xinning Prefecture was established, and the prefectural government was located in Xinning Town, the county seat today.
At the same time, Tuzhong Prefecture, which was originally under the jurisdiction of Siming Prefecture, was transferred to Xinning Prefecture for trial.
During the Wanli period, 49 villages that had been invaded by Zhongzhou and Jiangzhou were gradually recovered and divided into 7 capitals and 3 maps.
In the twenty-seventh year of Wanli, Sitong Prefecture was transferred to Yongkang County. Yongkang County was promoted to Yongkang Prefecture. The prefectural administration is now Zhongdong Town, and the original county administration was changed to Jiuxian Village.
The Qing Dynasty followed the Ming Dynasty. In the 28th year of Kangxi, Tuoling County was changed and merged into Yongkang Prefecture.
In the 29th year of Guangxu's reign, Xinning was the governor and Zhongzhou was suppressed; in the 32nd year of Guangxu, Yongkang was the governor and Luoyang Tuxian was suppressed.
In the second year of the Republic of China (1912 AD), Zhongzhou was changed to Zhongxian County, and in 1916 it was changed to Suilu County; Xinning Prefecture was first changed to Xinning County, and in 1914 it was changed to Funan County; It was changed to Yongkang County and then to Tongzheng County in 1914.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Funan, Suilu and Tongzheng counties were liberated successively in December 1949.
In July 1951, Funan, Suilu, and Tongzheng counties were merged into Fusui County, and the county seat is now the county seat.
In the 1950s, some adjustments were made to the boundaries between Fusui County, Chongzuo County and Ningming County.
In January 1959, Fusui County and Chongzuo County merged, and in April 1962, the two counties resumed their original organizational structure.
In 1984, the people's commune system was abolished and 1 district, 4 towns and 7 townships were established.
Later, Zhongzhong District was changed to Zhongzhong Town, and Funan Township was abolished. Fusui County now has jurisdiction over 8 towns and 3 townships, 119 village committees, and 13 neighborhood committees (communities).
