The origin of the name Fufeng County
Fufeng County is the east gate of Baoji City. It is named after "supporting the capital and promoting customs".
In the third year of Emperor Wude of the Tang Dynasty (620), Fufeng County (commonly known as Dongfufeng) was established in Changning Town, Wugong, and Maochuan County was established at the current county site. In the first year of Zhenguan (627) of Emperor Taizong, Fufeng County was withdrawn. In the eighth year of Zhenguan (634), Maochuan County was changed to Fufeng County, and Qiyang County was established in present-day Famen Town. In the third year of Yuanhe (808), Qiyang County was withdrawn.
Fufeng County, affiliated to Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the western part of the Guanzhong Plain. It is the location of the Holy Land of Buddha Bones and the Buddhist Holy Land Famen Temple. It is located in the central and western part of Shaanxi Province, in the Muhe River Basin in the east of Baoji City. It is between 107°45′-108°03′ east longitude and 34°12′-34°37′ north latitude, with a total area of 720 square kilometers.

1. Famen Temple, also known as the "True Body Pagoda", is located in the hometown of Emperor Yan and the hometown of bronzes - —Baoji City, rated as the “Ninth Wonder of the World” by UNESCO in 2004, is a national key cultural relic protection unit.
It is said that it was built in the 11th year of Emperor Ming of the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 68), with a history of more than 1,700 years. It is known as the "ancestor of the pagoda temple in Guanzhong". Before the Zhou and Wei Dynasties, it was called "Ashoka Temple". It was renamed "Chengshi Taoist Temple" during the reign of Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty, and "Famen Temple" during the reign of Emperor Gaozu of the Tang Dynasty.
Famen Temple is known as a royal temple. It has become a Buddhist holy place that the whole country looks up to because it houses the finger bone relic of Sakyamuni Buddha. The Famen Temple pagoda is known as the "Pagoda of True Body to Protect the Country". The Famen Temple Cultural Scenic Area where the temple is located is a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction.
2. "Famen Temple Namaste Pagoda" is located in Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. It is an attraction in Famen Temple, a national AAAAA tourist attraction. Planned and designed by Li Zuyuan, a famous Taiwanese architectural design master, the tower is 148 meters high, which is equivalent to the height of a fifty-storey building. There is a pagoda-shaped building in the middle where the Buddha's finger relics are placed. There is a long road in front of the relic tower. The 1,500-meter-long "Foguang Avenue" is lined with huge Buddha statues carved from granite.
3. The Zhouyuan Site is located in the Fufeng and Qishan areas of Baoji City, Shaanxi Province today. It is 70 kilometers long from east to west and about 20 kilometers wide from north to south. The total area is about 33 square kilometers. It was the site of 11 BC. From the 19th century to the 8th century BC, a large number of divination bones, divination armors, and a large number of precious national treasure bronzes were unearthed from large ancient sites. Zhouyuan is the birthplace of Zhou culture and the settlement of Zhou people before the destruction of the Shang Dynasty. It is known as the "hometown of bronzes".
