Natural conditions of Lhasa as a summer tourist city

Lhasa has an average elevation of 3658 meters. Sunny all year round, less rainfall, no cold in winter, no heat in summer, and pleasant climate. The highest temperature in history is 29.6℃, the lowest temperature is-16.5℃, and the annual average temperature is 7.4℃. The annual rainfall is about 500mm, and the sunshine time is more than 3,000 hours, so it is known as "Sunshine City".

Lhasa has a plateau and mountainous climate. In the plateau areas of mid-latitude areas, such as the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the Andes, due to high altitude and low temperature all the year round, the plateau mountain climate is formed. The plateau and mountain climate has two most important characteristics: "high terrain" and "cold temperature". In mountainous areas, the temperature decreases with the increase of height, and the vertical change of climate is significant. At a certain height, there is a lot of humidity, fog and precipitation. The higher the mountain, the stronger the wind. The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in China is high in altitude and low in temperature, but it has strong radiation, abundant sunshine, little precipitation and strong wind in winter. The annual range of temperature is small, and the daily range is large.
