Hello, I want to take the life science postgraduate exam in Nankai University, and I want to review the reference materials for biochemistry and molecular biology.

Turn one ~

I am a student of a provincial agricultural university, majoring in biotechnology in the College of Life Sciences. In 2008, he passed the entrance examination for graduate students of biochemistry and molecular biology in School of Life Sciences of Nankai University, with a total score of 39 1, ranking fifth in the initial examination and fourth in the re-examination. I can pass the exam and hope to provide some experience to others. I hope more students from other schools can get what they want!

Decided to enter Nankai University around May 2007. I originally wanted to enter the Academy of Military Medical Sciences. Later, I gave up because I was a student or a girl from the Agricultural College. After listening to my boyfriend's advice, I decided to enter Nankai University. At that time, I heard that the microorganisms in Nankai were good, but I heard that there were several books to be tested, and I felt it was not easy to review them. In addition, I like biochemistry and molecular biology, so I decided to take the major. Most importantly, at that time, I felt that only two books were tested in biochemistry, general biochemistry and cell biology, which were much less difficult than the review of microorganisms (but later I felt that the review of microorganisms was not very scary, and it was estimated to be similar to biochemistry). Then buy books and start reviewing.

There are several kinds of materials for general biochemistry review. First, the most important thing is the teaching materials. Because biochemical tests are very detailed and most of them are minor problems, the more times you read textbooks, the more proficient you are, and the higher your chances of getting high marks. I passed the biochemical test 138, which has a lot to do with the better review of the textbook. Second, the real questions must be good-looking and well done. If necessary, you can also sort out the knowledge points you are willing to take in the exam questions over the years and what knowledge points you take every year. However, you may find that the knowledge points you test every year are different and cover a wide range. From this point, it can be shown that you are optimistic about the importance of textbooks; Third, the exercises matched with the textbook are quite good. Over the years, there will be questions from it, but not many. We can't completely hope for this. This book will definitely fail. You can do more to consolidate the knowledge points, so that some small places are not easy to miss. I think it will be good to recite big questions. Fourth, notes, which I bought from graduate students in Nankai at that time, are very clear and concise. I think it's good to string together the knowledge points, but it's not feasible to take all the notes. In a word, I think it is easy to get high marks in the biochemical exam as long as you have these things in hand and read the textbooks well. Compared with the examinee-oriented students, we are lucky.

For cell biology, I think it is very important to do more exercises besides reading textbooks carefully. Even if you don't do it, reading it will provide a good idea for answering the big questions of cell biology. Judging from the real questions over the years, the knowledge of cell biology is relatively stable, and the cell cycle is tested every year, but the angle of the question is different, and the same situation exists in other chapters, that is to say, the contents of the cell biology exam are almost all important things, not as scattered as biochemistry, but judging from this year's exam, the big questions are relatively stable, and the small questions feel a little biased. I feel that I have seen them, but I just don't take them as important things. Therefore, it is possible that cell biology tends to have problems in biochemistry, which is relatively detailed. It's better for everyone to review carefully. But I think it's really good to do more exercises in the workbook. I got many versions of cell biology exercise books at that time, which was definitely more effective than just reading books. I also bought a courseware of cell biology from Nankai University, so I can have a look. Just sort out my knowledge roughly.

Regarding the second interview, I will re-interview three items this year, namely, professional English translation, experiment and interview. This year's professional English test is an article about oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes. Personally, I think it seems to be from foreign textbooks, so the difficulty is moderate and I should be able to cope. If biochemistry and cell biology are bilingual in your school, I think it is unnecessary to review. If not, it is basically enough to read more professional vocabulary and foreign biochemistry and cell biology related things. It seems that this project will not be stingy. I seem to be three points short of full marks. The experiment is to give you ten experiments to draw lots for two, and then you choose one. It is not a complete experiment, but only a part of it. Basic experiments that could have been done can basically be included, so don't be too nervous. In the interview, I think the old teacher in Nankai is very nice, kind and not very aggressive, which makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed in the interview. At that time, a teacher asked me a professional question, but I didn't answer it immediately. She also told me that it was okay. Don't be nervous. Take your time. Then I remembered, that's right. The teacher smiled and nodded. About seven teachers are interviewing together. First, introduce yourself in Chinese. Then the teacher asked Ben what experiment he might have done. Then the teacher will ask some questions about your experiment, such as the principle. Someone asked me, what is the role of magnesium ion in PCR? What are the two professional problems of Tm value? I am a biotechnology major. The teacher asked me if there are any new inventions in biotechnology recently. Also ask me what is the 2007 Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology? What did the graduation project do? What are your plans for studying in Nankai? I was only asked an English question. Interviews are entered by ranking. The person in front may ask for a long time, and the person behind may ask for a short time, not because the person behind will be brushed off, but because of the time. All the results will be announced the next day, and the ranking will change slightly after the second interview, but it is not very big. I think as long as there is no big problem in the second interview, I will be admitted. This year, the score was 350 points, 50 people crossed the line, 43 people participated in the re-examination, and finally 33 people were admitted. Those who are not admitted can also take the medical college re-examination. In short, Nankai won't abandon you as long as you are not too bad. I think Nankai is still very fair.
