Fangchenggang in Guangxi does not belong to any city, but belongs to Guangxi Province. Fangchenggang is a prefecture-level city.

Fangchenggang City is located at the intersection of the southern end of the eastern coast of China and the starting point of the southwest coast, along the Beibu Gulf coast of Guangxi. It is one of only two cities in China where the border and coast meet.

The port was built in 1968 and the city in 1993, with a total area of 6,238 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over Port Area, Fangcheng District, Shangsi County and dongxing city, and there are 2 1 ethnic groups including Han, Zhuang, Yao and Beijing. It is the only settlement of Jing nationality and one of the important birthplaces of marine culture in Beibu Gulf.

Fangchenggang topography

Fangchenggang is low in terrain and high in both sides, with 100,000 mountains running through it, inclined to the southeast and northwest, and mostly low mountains, hills, plains and basins in the southeast. The northwest is low-middle mountains and plateaus, reaching the junction with Fusui, high in the east and low in the west, mostly hills and basins. Ports, Fangcheng and Dongxing are high in the northwest and low in the southeast; Shangsi is surrounded by mountains on three sides, and the terrain is inclined from southeast to northwest.
