The Leader of Philosophy and Yi Studies in the Yangtze River Delta

Zhang Zhizhe, male, was born in Shanghai. My ancestral home is Zhongmiao Town, Chaohu City, Anhui Province. He graduated from history department of Fudan University. He is currently a professor at East China Normal University, the president of Shanghai Yijing Society, the director of Shanghai Religious and Cultural Research Center, the consultant of China Yijing Association, and a professor at Shanghai East China Normal University. He has been engaged in the teaching and research of Feng Shui, history and religion for a long time. He is good at Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, pays attention to the application of Zhouyi Eight Diagrams, and combines the fate of life with the natural environment, the desire for good and evil with religious culture, showing the role of mysterious culture. He is a leader in the field of Yi studies in the Yangtze River Delta.

Since1990s, I have been devoted to the study of modern Buddhism in Chinese mainland. Combined with my own teaching practice, I have traveled all over the famous mountains and ancient temples, inspected the great virtues of contemporary monks, and mastered a large number of precious Buddhist cultural materials, believed in Buddhism and wrote books, which are world-renowned. His main works include Dictionary of Buddhist Figures in China, Grand View of Buddhist Places in China, Modern Monks in China, Grand Dictionary of Taoist Culture, Mysterious Grand View of Taoism, Brief History of Confucian Classics, Interpretation of Historical Records in China, Shock and Fusion-Historical and Cultural Flows in the Spring and Autumn Period, and Application Manual of the Book of Changes. Papers such as Image Number and the Mystery of Taoism, On the Structure of Time and Space, Lian and the Cultural Heritage of Feng Shui, and Taoism and Feng Shui Culture all won the International Excellent Paper Award of Yi-ology. Geomantic planning projects include: Wuyuan Buddhist Cultural City and Nanjing Zhuquan Dingshan Temple Scenic Area; Adjust the feng shui pattern of Shanghai Municipal People's Government, Ningbo Municipal People's Government, Shandong Aotai Mountain Villa and Shanghai Xujiahui Entertainment Park; Take the lead in advocating that Feng Shui is an intangible cultural heritage, planning a ten-year plan for the declaration and protection of Feng Shui intangible cultural heritage, and establishing a Feng Shui Heritage Foundation and a Feng Shui Heritage Museum.
