It was precisely because of this regret that I decided to visit Tianlu again.

Therefore, we planned three days for our trip at the end of August. This time, we decided to enter the Tianlu from Huapi Ridge and exit from Yehuling.

1. Popular Science "Prairie Sky Road"

Caotian Sky Road is located at the junction of Zhangbei County and Chongli District, Zhangjiakou City, starting from the wild fox on the south side of Zhangbei County in the west. Ling (near Yehuling Fortress, reaching Huapiling in Chongli County in the east) is an important passage connecting Chongli Ski Area, Chicheng Hot Spring Area and Zhangbei Grassland Scenic Area. It is also one of the ten most beautiful roads in mainland China. .

The Prairie Sky Road, with a total length of 132.7 kilometers, is like a dragon, entrenched on the top of the mountains, winding and ups and downs, stretching for more than a hundred kilometers, connected with the blue sky and white clouds. In response to this, walking on the Heavenly Road is like walking on the clouds, so it is named Tianlu. This is the edge of the Xilin Gol Prairie, with an average altitude of 1,400 meters and an average annual temperature of only 4 degrees Celsius. It is known as the "Thirteenth Heaven in the World". Province, it is said that it is not as cold as Huabiling. Strong winds, sufficient sunshine, and no obvious summer have become the most significant climate characteristics.

The Prairie Sky Road is 132 kilometers long, divided into two lines: the east line and the west line. It is about 32 kilometers, and the east line is about 100 kilometers. Since the west line is a one-way route, there are relatively few people going there. The grassland road that people refer to mostly refers to the east line of the grassland road from Yehuling to the west. It extends to Huabiling in the east, so the entrance to Yehuling is also called the west entrance, and the entrance to Huabiling is also called the east entrance. The west entrance generally refers to Yehuling (Zhangbei County, and the east entrance refers to Huabi). Ling (Chongli District). The 100-kilometer-long trail from Yehuling to Huapiling is called the east line of the Grassland Trail. 2. How to enter the Grassland Road

The Grassland Road has two entrances, namely the Yehuling entrance and the Huapiling entrance. At the same time, these are also two specific exits. Which entrance to enter depends on each person’s own travel route. Let’s talk about myself. The first time I went to Tianlu, I chose to enter from Yehuling because it was the gate of Tianlu. So, there was a jam at the entrance. We sat in the car and blew the wind of the grassland for an hour, while singing "Blue Sky, White Sheep, My Home". OK, so I chose to enter from Huapiling. Maybe it’s because the peak tourist season has passed, and the entrance to Huabiling is extremely smooth. Before each trip, I have the habit of arranging the route and itinerary in advance. Entering Cao Tian Road from Yehu Ling, open the Baidu Map APP, and then directly search for "Zhangbei Cao Tian Road Service Center", which is the entrance of Cao Cao Tian Road Yehu Ling. It is the north gate and the main gate of Cao Tian Road. This You can’t go wrong, feel free to search, haha ​​

Enter Grassland Road from Huabiling, open the Baidu Map APP, and then directly search for "Crailand Road (Huapiling)", as shown in the picture below. This is the entrance to Huapiling of Grassland Road. If you want to see the complete route of the Tianlu East Line, enter "Caotian Road East Line" in the Baidu Map search bar and you can see the entire route. What needs to be noted here is that the mobile phone navigation will automatically select the shortest route. Be careful of being led astray by the navigation. 3. Food and accommodation

On the way to the Grassland Road, I still recommend that you bring enough emergency dry food and water, in case you encounter a traffic jam? What if the car breaks down on the road? Only by being fully prepared can you have fun. Since we were traveling with children, we brought a lot of food, although a lot of it was not eaten by the children, haha. As long as you enter Grassland Road, there will be several farmhouses after basically driving for a while. As long as you are hungry, you can go in and eat some roast mutton or something. I don’t know how each one tastes, but if you put it in your stomach, Filled up, it should be no problem. Of course, when everyone goes out to play, they all want to have a good time, and it would be great if they can eat local delicacies.

When we talk about grassland, the first thing we think of is mutton. The mutton in Tianlu tastes very good. Friends who come here must not miss the opportunity to eat mutton. The beef jerky here also tastes great. On the way back, we bought some beef jerky to take back. This should be regarded as a specialty on the grassland. There are also toffee and flax seeds. You can take some back if needed. of. Let’s talk about accommodation. For those who go to a place for the first time, this is the most disturbing thing. Anyway, I feel this way, and I will really consider a lot, for example, what if it is a black shop? manage? What should I do if what I eat is unhygienic? What to do if customers are ripped off? What to do if the hotel room is too dirty? Are there too many mosquitoes? Where is the appropriate location? Is it better to go on the roadside or inside?

Haha, I really understand everyone’s mood, but this was the struggle when I went there for the first time. When I went there for the second time, it was very easy. Because it is my first time to stay at the "Colorful Tianlu Holiday Inn", I am very satisfied with it, whether it is the location (in the middle of Tianlu, it is suitable for both ends, no need to rush), the quality of the food (my mouth water, the surrounding environment (close to The Tianlu Highway is about 1 km away. It is quiet, safe, less dusty, and the hotel is very clean. The boss is also very cheerful (he wiped off the meal scraps, haha). I have to say that I am quite lucky.

There are swings and hammocks in the backyard of Colorful Holiday Hotel. If you want to stay one more day, it's good to breathe fresh air. The roast lamb in this hotel also tastes very authentic. The last time we came here, we had roasted lamb legs. This time we changed to roasted lamb chops. We ate them with cumin powder. By the way, if you are sure to stay at this hotel (I like to call it a farmhouse), if you want to eat roast lamb, you must call the boss at least two hours in advance to make a reservation. 4. Play

You will definitely ask, if you go to the grassland in early autumn, the grass is turning yellow, is the scenery still beautiful? It depends on whether the scenery is beautiful or not. It depends on everyone’s level of photography. I think so. Anyway, my level is not that good. The places that I think are beautiful with the naked eye become miserable when I see them with the camera. Oh, my tears. I have let down the beautiful scenery in vain. One thing that must be mentioned is that there are mushrooms in the grassland in autumn. There are large tracts of mushrooms in the jungle. You can pick them at will. They are purely wild. 5. Our itinerary< /p>

D1: Since there were three days and it was not a weekend, we didn’t start too early. After breakfast, it was already 8:30, and we started to drive towards the Badaling Expressway. When we reached the section of the Great Wall, there were still some traffic jams, probably because there were more tourists during the summer vacation, but compared with the last trip, it was still much smoother.

We arrived at Huabiling around 12:30 noon. After entering Tianlu, we found a place to sit down and eat our lunch.

After lunch and rest, it’s almost two o’clock. Keep driving and enjoy the scenery along the way.

D2: We had plenty of time. After breakfast at the hotel in the morning (10 yuan per adult, free for children), we walked around the surrounding area and picked some mushrooms with the children. After lunch break , then went to Senado Resort, 20 kilometers away from the hotel, and played grass skiing, cable car and other activities, and continued to stay at the Colorful Tianlu Holiday Hotel in the evening.

D3: After breakfast, we drove towards Yehuling and had lunch on the farm road. At 1 o'clock in the afternoon, we drove back to Beijing. There was no traffic jam on the road.

6. Notes

The first point: before the vehicle enters the Tianlu, make sure the vehicle is filled with gas, because there are no gas stations on the Tianlu;

Second point: The temperature on Tianlu is low all year round. Even in the hottest summer, it is very cool there. It is recommended to bring a jacket. If you go in early autumn, bring thicker clothes;
