The geographical environment of Dainan Town

Dainan Town is located at 32°39′～32°47′ north latitude and 120°01′～120°09′ east longitude. It is located in the middle of Jiangsu Province, the middle of Taizhou City, and the southeast of Xinghua City.

Dainan Town borders Qindong Town of Dongtai City to the east, Jiangyan District of Taizhou City to the south, the Yangtze River to the south, the Huaihe River to the north, and is located on the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, above Shanghai. Within the "sixth largest metropolitan area in the world" as the center, it is economically radiated by cities such as Shanghai, Yangzhou, Nantong and Taizhou, and has unique geographical and location advantages. The territory is lined with crisscrossing rivers and intertwined water networks, making it a typical "land of plenty" in Lixiahe River.

Ningyan first-class highway and Yanjing expressway run through the north and south of the town, and have interchanges. It only takes more than two hours to reach Shanghai and Nanjing via the Jiangyin Yangtze River Bridge; it is 20 kilometers away from the Xinghua Station of the Xinyi-Changxing Railway; the Yanjing River, a provincial waterway in the country, directly connects to the national port Taizhou Port; it is also far from Yangzhou Taizhou Airport It's only a 2-hour drive. Dainan Town is located in the northern subtropical semi-humid monsoon climate zone. It is affected by the monsoon circulation and has obvious monsoon characteristics. The prevailing wind direction in Dainan is mostly southeasterly wind in spring and summer, northeasterly wind in autumn, and northerly wind in winter. There are four distinct seasons here, with abundant sunshine and abundant rain. The summers are hot and rainy, while the winters are mild and rainy. The annual average temperature is 13-16°C, with the highest temperature in July and the lowest temperature in January. The annual frost-free period is about 200-240 days, and the annual average precipitation is 1000 ml.

Dainan Town belongs to the Taizhou area. The Taizhou area generally enters spring at the end of March and early April, summer in early and mid-June, autumn in mid-September, and winter in mid-November.
