How to clean the carburetor of motorcycle

There are many kinds of carburetors for motorcycles. Although the specific cleaning process is different, the basic cleaning method is the same. To clean the carburetor of motorcycle, it is necessary to remove the throttle line first, and some even remove the throttle line and the automatic enrichment device, that is, the wiring of the electric throttle, unplug the hose such as the oil pipe, disassemble the carburetor from the car, and then clean the dirt in the carburetor with carburetor cleaner or gasoline to ensure the smooth flow of qualified spray holes and passages in the carburetor. It is best to reinstall and debug the carburetor.

Motorcycles mainly include straddle-type motorcycles, pedal motorcycles and curved beam motorcycles, and their carburetor installation and disassembly methods and carburetor types are different. Some carburetors of the same type of motorcycle are different, so they should be cleaned according to the specific situation. First, according to the specific situation of the motorcycle, prepare tools, carburetor cleaning agents and the like. If there is no special carburetor cleaner, clean gasoline can be used instead, preferably an air compressor (air pump) or water pump. Then according to the motorcycle's situation, disconnect the carburetor from the motorcycle first, and then remove the carburetor from the motorcycle, so that the carburetor can be further disassembled and cleaned.

Generally, it is necessary to disassemble the float chamber, remove the float, float needle, idle metering hole, main metering hole, main nozzle, throttle plunger oil needle, mixing ratio screw, air cut-off valve and other accessories (some carburetors have different carburetors, and some parts are not available), then clean the dirt and rust in the carburetor with carburetor cleaner or gasoline, and blow all the spray holes and small holes in the oiler with air pump or pumped compressed gas. If the blockage is serious, after cleaning the carburetor, reinstall the carburetor on the motorcycle for debugging.
