Why is the weather predictable?
Weather forecasts have been around since ancient times. The ancient weather forecast mainly relied on observation, which formed many weather proverbs, such as "Don't go out at sunrise, travel thousands of miles at sunset", "Hanging clouds in the sky, dripping rain underground" and so on. The ancients summed up many weather proverbs through long-term observation and experience accumulation. However, proverbs are all based on experience, and many proverbs have been proved to be limited or even incorrect. Because atmospheric phenomena and their physical processes change rapidly and the influencing factors are complex, besides the interaction among various scales of the atmosphere itself, the sun, ocean and surface conditions all affect the movement of the atmosphere, so even now, it is quite difficult to accurately predict the weather.
